Delicious and fresh spicy ahi bowl. The thing that really stood out though was the rice.
We came in around 3. The workers were super responsive & helpful. We ordered 2 aloha bowls and 2 calamansi honey drinks. All delicious, all super fresh.
There was music playing in the background, and the place is clean and bright. Would definitely come back.

Hou Fish Market is a restaurant in Waipahu. The fish is super fresh and the food is delicious. The spicy tuna is not super spicy and the sauce is a little bit too sweet, but the fish underneath it is fantastic. The rice is perfect. The seared salmon bowl with a side of crab salad does not disappoint, with lots of fish and a nice creamy sauce cooked just enough to give multiple textures. It is a solid poke bowl for the price. The garlic nigiri combo includes 2 ebi, 2 ahi, and 2 salmon. The fish is nice, soft, and fatty, though the cuts could be thicker and the garlic nigiri are a bit tough after they charred them. The udon is a good compliment to the sushi. The hamachi Kama, spicy tuna, salmon, and super volcano are soooo good, and the fish is prepared with care. The aloha bowls and calamansi honey drinks are all delicious and super fresh. The wasabi is excellent. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. The vibe is cute and seems dog friendly even on their menu. The service is quick and pleasant. The establishment is nice and clean, with friendly staff, a cute interior, calm music, and it smelled nice. There is a choice for take out or dine in, and they will bring you water if you dine in. A lot of people order platters for their sports potluck.
