Taco Restaurants near Waipahu

It's a small little Mexican restaurant in Waipahu. Staff is very friendly. Food tastes really delicious. This is my third time coming to this restaurant.
Their shrimp enchiladas were very tasty. It came with rice and beans. Portion size was a little small for what you pay for.
My wife ordered the tostadas with hamburger, and it wasn't to my liking. Their hamburger mixture has peas in it in which I felt didn't match.
The Birria tacos is amazing! This was the first time I've ever tried this. These tacos are very cilantro forward. If you're like me, where cilantro tastes like soap, I can tell you that these are delicious and don't taste like soap. The portion was small, in my opinion. I just wanted more!
Esquites, which is their street corn, is very tasty, very creamy.
The street tacos are very tiny. You can gobble them up in 1-2 bites.
Fried ice cream is okay. Portion size is good for 2-3 to share.
The banana loca is just amazing! I highly recommend this. It was just warm and flavorful, with a scoop of ice cream on top. It was perfect for my wife and I to share.
Overall, I will be coming back here for more. On all visits, we spend an average of +$70 for two of us. Food is really tasty. Just portion size could be better.“

“Ive waited for like 10 min. In the drive thru ( around 10:15 pm ) its not that really busy night , but they handed out my food fresh and hot ? thats why i like coming back to this location . I dont mind waiting for too long as long as my food is hot and fresh . ?“

“Drive thru employee was very kind and patient with me. I didn’t feel rushed or ignored.i asked him to please speak louder because I could barely hear and understand him thru the speaker. When I approached the payment/pickup window, I realized the person was the same nice associate taking my order. His name was Jean. I asked him for his name, because I was very pleased with how I was treated. Good job, Jack in the Box, for employing a nice young man!“

“Drive thru used to be more of a pain than a convenience at every jack in the box, even the outer islands. They couldn't hear you, and you couldn't hear them, and to make it worse, they could barely speak English, so if they can barely speak English, then they can't understand the words that's coming out of my mouth. I'm yelling my order from the top of my lungs at the Mililani Jack in the box that the Wahiawa Jack in the box could hear me. It's funny now but not back then. They must have upgraded their intercom system cause now they speak good English and you can hear them clearly, because before you couldn't understand JACK SH..“

“The food is fantastic and the staff is so friendly. Outstanding, authentic Mexican ceviche and service. The tuna tostada and Cabo taco were delicious as well. Anyone looking for great Mexican seafood, this is the place to go in the island.“

“Try it...you'll love it!!! It's not big restaurant, but that's what I loved about it and it gave authentic from the front door! Best Mexican food I've had since I got here. On the back of the menu, it says BYOB and my husband said I'll be back...lol! He went right to the drug store and got a 6 pk. We will definitely back!“

“How anyone could give Nico’s Hickam any less than a 5 stars blows my mind. The quality of Nico’s fish is the best on Oahu! And the merch store inside is awesome! Don’t hesitate to come here - I don’t know what the other reviewers here are talking about - the workers were friendly and helpful!

And for the guy that said goto the commissary to get a bowl - I bet you eat the frozen poke too! Gross! Never go to the commissary when Nico’s is right next door!
