It was lovely to walk in to such a clean and beautifully simple dining space. The atmosphere gave us a most pleasant time to reminisce, tell stories, and catch up. Our server was most patient and polite. Thank You Silk Elephant!

We had the calamari, and two noodle bowls. I got the spicy siracha & my husband had a garlic pesto. It was AMAZING. Will definitely go back. We went on a Monday around 12pm and they were pretty empty (as to be expected for a Monday afternoon) but still had good, timely service. We had our baby with us and unfortunately they don’t have a changing station in the women’s restroom. But otherwise- it was great! ❤️

Silk Elephant is an upscale restaurant with an average plate price of $15. The menu offers delicious dishes, including chicken fried rice. The interior is clean and beautiful, with friendly waitresses. The restaurant accommodates various dietary restrictions and offers something for everyone. It is easily one of the best restaurants in Ankeny, featuring a large menu with a variety of Thai staples. Everything is flavorful, well-presented, and with good portion sizes. The Kao Soi is a favorite entree, and the Duck Bacon Wonton appetizer is a nice way to start. Staff always seems very knowledgeable and can make good recommendations. Great food and appetizers are offered, and the waitstaff were always checking on guests. The yellow curry is exceptional. The service and atmosphere are decent. The uniqueness of the dishes and quality of cooking is much better than a lot of places. The staff are nice, well-mannered, and respectful.
