“I've got ice cream here before but this was the first time we sat and had a meal here. We came for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Fast and friendly service, they were busy but not packed, very good food and it came out to us in less time than I expected. I will definitely be going for breakfast again and can't wait to try other menu items! I got the Eggs Grandpa and he had eggs hashbrowns and sausage patties. Here is what we couldn't finish!”

“Not only did we sample some great chocolate, we stayed in the huge suite above the shop. Double the treat. And as a Disabled Vet it was amazing that there was one hdcp slot right in front of the place. We used it both nights.”

“A great stop! Stopped on a Friday to sample some beer and have a snack. Great view of the river. We would love to come back for warmer weather in the summer. The beer was yummy and so wasThe flatbread. It was also a nice place to visit with our two children in tow.”

“The prime rib was very good and priced reasonable. The deserts are incredible and the waitress was very nice. Had to wait awhile to get seated but it was pretty busy so understandable.”

“Burger was top 10 in Iowa in 2023. Pizza is a great choice here, nice and crispy. Also love the grilled shrimp on Saturday nights with salad bar. You can ask for melted butter with it. Hashbrowns with cheese and onion are phenomenal. Garlic parm wings are great too! Combo baskets are sizeable. If you’re looking for frills, this isn’t the place but if you’re looking for a burger and beer (or soda) this is a good local spot that’s been around for years.”

“Cash or local checks only at Bootleggers. They don’t take plastic. This is a fun local bar with a great Saturday bartender. Four of us stopped in on a Saturday really liked the place. If you’re not a twenty something that needs a ten dollar craft beer to match your cuffed jeans and perfectly clean work boots, Bootleggers is exactly what you want from a bar. Once upon a time people went to establishments to listen to music on a jukebox and drink from a well among good company, and that's exactly what you're getting here. Stop in, get comfortable and maybe make a new friend.”

“Been going to this hatchery for years. If you want healthy chicks, this is the place to go. If you run into issues with your chicks, they are just a phone call away.”

“This is a quaint place to go for a decent meal and relax for a bit. As we were in Bellevue, IA it was recommended we visit this place for lunch. It looks like a gas station but they have food and some general shopping supplies. There was a bar side with tables and a separate room for just dining. The place was clean and felt like home. Service was very good even when a large crowd of snowmobilers showed up to do their yearly fund raising. It was loud but we understood this was not a normal Saturday lunch crowd. The mushroom burger was good, I would have it again. The fries were nothing special but still good. Our friends raved about the roasted chicken, a must try next time. There is not much else in this town, even cell service may be an issue but if you are passing through it is worth the visit.”

“Beautiful place for a sunset dinner. I always try to eat outside for the view. My favorite is the Margherita pizza on a cauliflower crust. I've never found a better cauliflower crust.”
