When in Ames, I can not miss an opportunity to visit the Dutch Oven Bakery near the railroad crossing on Duff. Wandering Boone this week, we found another Dutch oven bakery and found it equally awesome. Great selection of bakery items and pastries, outstanding customer service, and some tables to enjoy your choices. Kindness in abundance.
Wow! Adorable! Want a cup of soup? Sandwich? This is it! Aside from the great looking freshly baked treats, the atmosphere is cozy. Grabbing a book off their nicely stocked shelf and cozying up while the little one enjoys the crayons and coloring sheets was a lovely way to spend some time. The ONLY reason I’m giving this a four is after realizing how loved this gem is I do think its time to consider upgrading the pay system.
