Papa's Pizza Reviews
We were heading home to NE IA from western Iowa coming through Clear Lake. Googled for restaurants looking for a good pizza joint. They nailed it! My bf & I both loved our individual choices, prices were great, and the main gal behind the counter running the show was a hoot! If we ever come back through, we will definitely stop again!

Papa's Pizza is a small, family-run restaurant known for its great-tasting pizza and friendly service. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, with a nice vibe that makes it a pleasant place to visit. The pizza features hand-tossed crusts that are doughy, although customers can request them thinner. The toppings are of high quality, and the sauce is similar to a decent marinara. Customers especially enjoy the meat pizza, which has really good toppings, and the cheese pizza, with a perfect crust that kids love. The restaurant also offers wings, breadsticks, and a dessert pizza, with cinnamon sticks being a popular choice among kids.
Despite its small size, the place is very clean, with a spotless eating area, kitchen, and bathrooms. The staff is friendly and attentive, often in good spirits, making the overall experience enjoyable. While wait times can occasionally be up to 45 minutes, especially during busy nights or weekends, service remains reliable, and the food quality tends to improve later in the day when the night crew is on duty. Prices are reasonable, typically around $18-20 for a meal for 1 to 3 people, or $20-30 for a family-sized meal.
Originally known as Bredeaux pizza, it has become a favorite spot for locals and travelers alike, often recommended as the best pizza within a 30-mile radius of Clear Lake. Many find it to be a bright spot on travel or snow days, and it continues to be a regular stop for those in the area.
