“I love the mom and pop restaurants when traveling. They seem to make traveling more tolerable than grabbing a bite from a fast food chain. Food was excellent, waiters were excellent. Will definitely keep this place in mind when traveling thru the area again.“

“This is my go to spot for breakfast if I'm low on groceries and have ten to twenty bucks to spare. That said, I usually have change afterwards! Prices here are very admirable - I don't think they've changed much since I was a kid. \n\n.77 cent coffee, a solid 8 dollar breakfast option with a few other nicely priced choices, great omelets. Breakfast is consistently good, and decent at worst. For the most part you do get what you pay for, although whoever cooks the eggs here was born for it. I would strongly recommend the A-Train breakfast to start a busy day, and it's gotten me through a 4K once or twice\n\nNot as experienced with their lunch and dinner menu, so I can't speak on that as much, but from what I've had it tends to vary from 'good day at Arby's' to 'above average local restaurant' quality. Got a French dip from here once that looked as sad as I was, got another one the next week and it was the best non-homemade one I'd ever had.\n\nWait times can be a bit much on some days. Service is good for the most part, but again, I'm usually there in the mornings, so I don't see the whole crew. My worst experience at Sevens was a year or two ago when they were short-staffed, so I don't really count that one.\n\nMy biggest gripe about the place is the selection of 'entertainment' on the TVs. Nine times out of ten, if you're going in for breakfast you're gonna be seeing Fox News on every TV in there. Make of that what you will. I'd rather not have to see Jesse Waters smug face bearing down on me when I'm trying to enjoy a nice breakfast with my dad, but if that's your kind of thing, I'll leave you to it“

“Although the pizza and service were good, I don’t think it’s worth how expensive it is here ($30 for a pizza) which is why I’m giving 4 rather than 5 stars. The pizza can definitely be shared between two people and we enjoyed it but it’s nothing out of this world.“

“This place is amazing. The ONLY draw back? Only three tables occupied. Had the Pork Chop and the Flat steak, and it was delicious. The Bartender/Waitress, a red head, btw, was super nice to me and my Jack Russell service dog; Murphy. The manager came out and was super sweet. This mexican restaurant have more of a variety than a typical Mexican restaurant just because it is authentic. It have more styles than one. I recommend it. Because some mexican restaurants only focus on one or two styles. Mexico have many states and every state may have their own style. Each state is known for a difference even tho mexico states have many similarities with each other.“

“I used to live in Mason city and now live 2.5hours away, but every time I go to Mason city I have to go to taco tico. Great food, great service, always busy, and responsible prices. I have been to lots of restaurants in my life and alot of restaurants have messed up my order, I have been to taco tico in Mason city plenty of times and they have never messed up on my order.“

“I love pasta Bella, but lately the pasta Bella salad is getting smaller and smaller. it use to fill the plate with to ato and cucumber on top now there is lettuce in the middle with tomato and cucumber on the side of the plate. pro a ly at least a third smaller but still the same price.“

“So…. We first experienced Cafe Mir on Taco Tuesday. It was incredible! And we said “we’re coming back once a month and it’s our new spot!” Then we saw the Saturday menu 2 weeks later and we were already breaking our promise — we could not wait a whole month to come back! We were so glad we didn’t wait!! Everything from the hearty and flavorful roasted cauliflower to the rich and fall-off-the-bone duck confit… this was a meal to be remembered and recommended!! “We love Mexican so much that we’ve gotten really good at making it ourselves so I only review when great or terrible. Las Palmas was great! Food was so flavorful. I had the Enchiladas Rancheras and my sweetie had the Durango special. I’m picky about guacamole and theirs was creamy and delicious. To top it off, service was great and 2 entrees, a margarita and a beer came to less than $40! If we get back to Iowa, we’ll be back to Las Palmas.“

“Hello Mason city, I'd like to point out that my past visit to Pancheros did not go so well. I went there with my mother at around 2:15-2:30 pm, and we were greated with the nicest workers, and all was going good until the manager came out. We had seen her previously overviewing a new employee. And he was a nice guy talkative and just had a good vibe. He made a mistake on an order prior to us, and she called him to the back to "talk to him" and believe or not her voice was heard by others cussing and giving her employee a hard time for a simple mistake. Later on my mother and I were waiting for the steak to get cooked, and the manager comes up and starts telling us what we want. And we told her no we're waiting for the steak politely, and she gave us both a dirty look. So I'm not saying the customer service was bad, but the management needs a good look at on who they put in charge.“
