“Ordered Ribeye and loaded potato.Cooked to my preference, loaded potato was really good, almost ordered one to go. Steak was very delicious, hardly ever do I clean my plate but it all tasted really good. Service was really good. Drinks kept full and had an awesome waitress. Defiantly above and beyond service!Parking: No fault of the restaurant but seemed a little winding finding the way into the lot. Went a round the hotel next door. Defiantly a city planning problem but is typical with modern developments.“

“From California and since time change we were hungry and it was late. Good thing Texas Roadhouse closes later than most restaurants. This restaurant closes at 10pm unlike in CA, which closes at 11pm. So we only had an hour before closing.Anyhow, I ordered a salad and a size of grilled shrimp. A simple order that didn’t taste simple. It was refreshing and filling. ?? my daughter ordered Andy’s (forgot what’s it’s called). Hers came out cooked to her liking and she was satisfied with the food.Server was on point and kind.I plan on going back before we head back to Ca.“

“Joseph's is all about the experience. Each table is made private by sheer curtains that make the meal much more private than a typical restaurant. The servers are knowledgeable and happy to recommend a special or guide your food selection. Though the meals are a touch on the pricy side, this restaurant seems to be mostly reserved for a special occasion. Food options are typical for a high end steakhouse and many steaks follow a market price rather than described price. The French onion soup was some of the best I've had with a great ratio of broth to onion to cheese. It was a bit salty but certainly warmed up a cold march night. Originally I ordered the ribeye filet but was given a full ribeye at no additional charge. The steak was cooked to perfection and was delicious. With dessert options so board, everyone at the table will want to share a bite. The bread pudding was warm and flavorful. It came with a side of vanilla ice cream which helped to add moisture to the affair. Over all, great experience and I will definitely be back soon“

“I come to Iowa City at least twice a year to attend an Alumni Advisory Committee meeting for the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Iowa College of Engineering. The meeting are on Friday and the Department takes us out to dinner the night before. Apparently, this is one of their favorite places. The name "Iowa Chop House" suggests a fancy steak restaurant, which it is not. It's more like a comfortable and very slightly fancy Midwest restaurant with a "something for everyone" menu, a good selection of local beers, and nice welcome home vibe. Our party was seated in a private room and a good time was had by all including faculty members and alumni of all ages and working backgrounds. I'm pleased and proud to be part of this group of smart and engaging people. The only bittersweet part was that one of the most popular professors was leaving for another University, primarily for family reasons. That of course, gave us all a chance to wish him well and ask him all sorts of questions, some of which were none of our business. Our wait people were great and attentive when they needed to be. I went light with a very tasty (and healthy looking) chicken salad and a single glass of wine. The other choices around the table looked very tempting, of which I'll need to revisit when I return. That includes other parts of the restaurant outside our happy little bubble.“
