Hands down the best wings in SE Iowa, and its been that way for 25 or 30 years.

After a decade and a half away from Iowa City, I returned to the delight that The Vine has kept its standards high. My wife and I drive down from Cedar Rapids a couple of times per month just for the wings.

Worth mentioning the Coralville location has PLENTY of space allowing for a seat every time. We also bring our 8 month old son and there is ample room for his stroller.

my husband and I just finished a wonderful lunch of Honey BBQ Wings. We think that this one of the best restraunts in IC/Coralville to eat at. A very big shout out about the service and the serving people. Top drawer everyone. We will be back very soon. David McKay Iowa City.

The food was absolutely fantastic and I truly appreciate the stamp. They're incredibly kind and allowing me to have my dog out on the patio

Vine Tavern & Eatery offers a decent casual dining and bar experience in a relaxed setting. The atmosphere is laid-back and makes it a comfortable place to hang out with friends, watch a game, or grab a bite.

The menu has a good variety of pub-style food, and while some items were enjoyable, others were fairly average and not particularly memorable. Service was polite but a bit inconsistent during busy hours, leading to longer wait times than expected.

Overall, it’s a solid spot for a casual night out, but both food consistency and service speed could be improved to make the experience more reliable.

The food was very good but the whole place could have been a good 5 degrees warmer, it was chilly. And a great value on a pitcher of beer, $12.

I was looking forward to meeting a friend for lunch today since I hadn’t been to The Vine in a LONG time. It’s a great place but I was disappointed-I ordered the fish and chips since it was one of their specials, the French fries were COLD and the fish was a bit greasy, not a fan of the coleslaw in this case. Our server was great, it would have been nice if he’d had a little more help! I’m willing to try again, hoping to not have a repeat experience…

The food for 4 out of the 5 in our party was very good. One person in our party had a bad experience with their Asian salad. The breaded chicken was overcooked and very hard, and the Romaine salad had a lot of bad pieces in it, including a 3 inch square core that had no business making it into the salad. Also, our food was not served all together. It came out in waves and the last person didn't get their food until 10 minutes later than the rest of the party. The place wasn't even that busy yet, and it was noon on a Saturday. I have had good experiences with this place in the past, so hopefully they were just having a bad day.

The draft beer wasn't cold, the food was okay, and the service was just okay. I had heard this was such a great local spot but was underwhelmed. I would go back if other people wanted to go but wouldn't be my first pick. If you didn't get drinks - price would be around $15-$20/person.

If there was a way to give this place -10 that’s what my fate would be. The bartender/server was very rude on 3/7/26. She kept her rudeness going my entire visit. The bag they put my food in had sauce all over the handle, the drinks made terrible. how do you get a lemon drop shot wrong? The wings so hard and dry. This was not my first experience with take out wings so, they were checked before leaving and my best response was to have them keep it all.

Ok. The last 2 times I’ve been to The Vine let’s just say the service sucked. So, I try to give them the benefit of doubt before I decide I’m never going to back to a place. Like the 3 strikes and you are out rule. Well I gave it another chance and once again the service is horrible. So, today will be the last time I go to The Vine.

Perfect place for dinner before heading over to campus for a game. It has a great atmosphere, and a bar full of Hawkeye fans. A definite must visit everytime we are in town. Go Hawks!
