“Seven One Two . We can't rate them high enough. Food, service and overall quality are excellent. Details below. To start off, I'm in a wheelchair. Most places that are accessible will watch my wife struggle to get through the door or a customer will help. Not the case here. My wife was about to grab for the door and one of the staff was right there, with a smile. We were seated immediately, out of the way, but not hidden in the corner. Our server, Sheree, was awesome. She answered our questions and explained the specials. She returned appropriately fast to take our order. Being about 2/3 full, I was expecting a bit of a wait, but our drinks were brought out quickly. The food is excellent. Expect it to be what the menu says it will be, not what you want or think it might be. We had the crab cakes for our appetizer. It had a good amount of crab and not all bread crumbs. My wife had the peach flatbread. Exactly what the menu said it would be and delicious. I had the beef stroganoff. After a little hiccup, it was as ordered and very yummy. We were disappointed that we didn't have room for a dessert, but we will make sure to leave room in the future. When we were leaving, 2 staff members were headed to open the door for us. Checking out their Facebook page, we will be back for the wine and flatbread special soon.“

“My wife and I were in town for the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit at the Mid-America Center. Afterward, we looked up restaurants near us and chose La Sierra because several reviews mentioned authentic cuisine. We were not misled. The menu is small and straight forward. Pick your fillings and choose it in either a gordita, burrito, quesadilla or on a plate. We both got selections as gorditas. My wife ordered: Asado De Puerco, Picadillo Verde and Picadillo Rojo. I ordered: Papas Con Carne, Papas Con Chorizo and Deshabrada. I also wound up getting a burrito with Machaca. All the meats were seasoned nicely and delicious. Both the verde and rojo salsas they brought out enhanced the food. The rojo does have a kick (same sauce as in the Desshbrada) but the heat didn't linger so eating it was enjoyable. The margarita I ordered was delicious, made with real lime juice. Some people might complain because it is regular sized, served in a glass roughly the size of a martini glass. It isn't a gigantic gimmick you find in a lot of American-Mexican restaurants. It hit the spot! The fruit empanadas were lovely, the crust similar to a sugar cookie with strawberry or apricot. We tried both and thought the apricot won by a hair. Its sweet flavor was slightly stronger than the strawberry. The service was excellent, both our server and the gentleman from the kitchen (maybe owner) who brought out food to the table were extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with. We've marked La Sierra in our "must do again" list and when we care back in Omaha, we will be stopping in.“

“Went here today to try out their newest seasonal beers and omg! This is the ONLY place where I will drink a sour. Their cranberry sour was amazing. The Pecan Pie Brown Ale and the Stuffing beer were also very good. And it’s so nice that they have a couple of dairy/meat free options on their menu. We love this place!“

“The food here is to die for. I've not found something that isn't top notch. Their serving of poutine style fries are also huge and a meal in of themselves. As a side note I love their cuts of a potato picture.

“We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly and personable. We ordered our drinks which were served promptly. We had grilled oysters as an appetizer and they were tasty and tender - best I have ever had. We also had a sweet lettuce salad. I had a lobster bisque which was extremely tasty and had several chunks of lobster - very nice. Not the best I have ever had but I did spend 23 years living on the coast of New England. For entrees my wife had a lobster roll which was excellent and used a butter rather than mayonnaise which she liked a lot. I had trouble deciding among three entrees but went for the blackened catfish and dirty rice. I really enjoyed. The entire wait staff was friendly and came by to wish my wife a happy birthday. Nice touch and very personal. We do a lot of shows and concerts downtown and always combine with a dinner. We will be going back to The Plank.“

“The fortunate son cocktail was really good! I enjoyed the banana. There’s tons of different drink options including a huuuge cocktail menu. I will definitely come back and try the caffeinated cocktail menu. There’s typical bar snacks available, and a super cute photo booth! The manager checked in several times and was even running food and drinks for our very large group. The pizza was delicious with a crunchy crust and perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings! “All the food was delicious. The drinks were on point! The fries are crispy, thin, salty, fluffy and delicious!! Macaroni and cheese was baked to perfection/ my daughter ate the leftovers and said it’s the best she’s had. My husband gave two thumbs up to the fried chicken bucket and he’s usually pretty picky about his fried chicken, so this is very positive! The chicken was served with a dish of blackened ranch dressing….YUM! we dipped the fries in the ranch…anything would taste good dipped in this dressing. I ate the vegan meatloaf sandwich with Texas toast grilled to crispy perfection, making this sandwich very delicious! What a surprise to have awesome vegan options on the menu…Thank you Fizzy’s! What makes this place even better is the atmosphere. The vibes in here are 50’s diner/bar and I love it, I mean, who doesn’t love a pink barstool??!! I will be back for the atmosphere and drinks, and I will need the fries again soon. My hubby’s vesper was expertly mixed. I had a mezcal drink from the pop-up, it was unique and tasty, served in a fun glass with a lovely marinated cherry garnish. 💕 LOVE

Vegetarian options: I had a vegan meatloaf sandwich. The Texas toast was perfectly crisp and delicious. The meatloaf was nutty, vegan mayo and bbq sauce topped it off well. Yum! This was a special dish offered on their pop-up menu.“
