“We have been looking for a new pizza place for a while and came across Tasty pizza and it was delicious. This is our new favorite!“

“My wife and I were in town for the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit at the Mid-America Center. Afterward, we looked up restaurants near us and chose La Sierra because several reviews mentioned authentic cuisine. We were not misled. The menu is small and straight forward. Pick your fillings and choose it in either a gordita, burrito, quesadilla or on a plate. We both got selections as gorditas. My wife ordered: Asado De Puerco, Picadillo Verde and Picadillo Rojo. I ordered: Papas Con Carne, Papas Con Chorizo and Deshabrada. I also wound up getting a burrito with Machaca. All the meats were seasoned nicely and delicious. Both the verde and rojo salsas they brought out enhanced the food. The rojo does have a kick (same sauce as in the Desshbrada) but the heat didn't linger so eating it was enjoyable. The margarita I ordered was delicious, made with real lime juice. Some people might complain because it is regular sized, served in a glass roughly the size of a martini glass. It isn't a gigantic gimmick you find in a lot of American-Mexican restaurants. It hit the spot! The fruit empanadas were lovely, the crust similar to a sugar cookie with strawberry or apricot. We tried both and thought the apricot won by a hair. Its sweet flavor was slightly stronger than the strawberry. The service was excellent, both our server and the gentleman from the kitchen (maybe owner) who brought out food to the table were extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with. We've marked La Sierra in our "must do again" list and when we care back in Omaha, we will be stopping in.“

By far my favorites were the Oni Egg, the Kani Miso, the Go-sar, and the Sashimi sake (king salmon). My husband's favorites were the Oni Egg, The Kani Miso, the Hama Toast, and the Go-sar. He also thought the Khaleesi was moderate, but couldn't best the others we had.

“My party and I went to Saddle Creek Breakfast Club (which, by the way, is not on Saddle Creek) for breakfast based on a recommendation, and we left thoroughly impressed. There were so many things to note, starting with what I believe to be very fair pricing for such high-quality food. They had an assortment of house-made jams ranging from peach and strawberry rhubarb to lemon curd, and every single one was absolutely delightful.
We all picked at each other’s plates just to taste everything, and there was not an overrated item on the table. Every individual thing, from the sausage and scrambled eggs with Monterey Jack cheese to the French toast and English muffins, just made us shake our heads at how good it was. The next time someone suggests we get breakfast, this is where I’m going to direct us. I will say, this is probably the best breakfast spot I’ve been to in this entire city.“

“I’ve driven by this spot countless times and finally stopped in - and I can’t wait to bring my family and others back with me. This spot is definitely underrated. Their menu is limited and specialized for sure, with only a few main dish options, but this is because everything is super fresh. As a vegetarian, I was pleased that they had a combination of all their different lentils and veggies that they had to offer all put together in a giant plate - and I mean GIANT. Each lentil dish, green, red, and yellow, had a distinct difference in flavor profile. The yellow was my favorite, being the creamiest, and the red was richer and deep - warming me from the inside out. There was also a variety of vegetables from a fresh salad to cooked greens, and then a cooked cabbage. I couldn’t believe that everything was so unique from each other! The mind chutney (maybe?) was a perfect way to add freshness between bites. One piece of the experience that makes it truly unique is that everything is served on their bread rather than with utensils, and you get additional on the side to pull apart and start dipping and grabbing and mixing up every bite.

I left truly stuffed to the brim feeling that every bite had been worth every penny! The ambiance is casual, with pieces of Ethiopian pottery and tapestry hung around. The service was kind and personal, with the chef herself coming out to check on how we were doing and what we liked best!“

Staff was very friendly and my wife really enjoyed whatever seasonal drink they have. “I would like to get busy a thumbs up 110% went there on Valentine's Day night they texted me I came back after I was there and couldn't get in I sat next to a wonderful absolutely wonderful girl named Allie we talked for hours and give me a ride home and I just had the most wonderful time for being a Valentine's Day and not having a boyfriend I didn't need one I don't need one but I made a new friend named Allie from Beatrice and I am so pleased and happy for that and hopefully things will pan out as friendship can subside and thank you busy for everything you have done and do for me when I do come there I really appreciate it and I tried to put good reviews for you guys anything I could do for you you tell me and vice versa thank you again“

“We love Dragon Wok! We first tried it 6 years ago and it’s been our favorite spot ever since. Even our 2 and 5 year old look forward to eating here—it’s always a hit with the whole family. The sesame chicken is hands-down one of our favorites—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sauce is amazing. We always order the steamed pot stickers, crab Rangoon, and chicken egg rolls too. My husband recently discovered the jalapeño chicken and now he can’t stop ordering it—so flavorful and always cooked perfectly. We also love the broccoli beef, pepper beef, peanut butter chicken, lo mein… honestly, everything we’ve tried has been delicious. They also offer different spice levels which is awesome if you like a little kick. And the little things matter too—like the small crunchy ice in the drinks (so good!) and the hot tea they serve when you dine in. It’s very kid friendly as well. They give the kids a little toy dragon after their meal and they have little quarter candy and toy vending machines in the front. My girls have been collecting the little dragons they get for years now. We used to order delivery all the time, but even after moving out of their delivery zone, we still make the drive—it’s totally worth it. Definitely one of our favorite local spots!“

“Cute place with plenty of seating. We were able to make a reservation online and get right in with two adults and a high chair. The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious.
