“My second time to Memoir. Most in our party ordered the Pan-Seared Trout because they were sold out of the Faroe Island Salmon. For an appetizer, we recommend the Yellowtail Sashimi. We were not familiar with the wine list but the New Zealand Koha Sauvignon Blanc suggested by our server was an excellent choice. Memoir has quickly become very popular in Downtown Omaha so we would recommend reservations. Top notch wait staff.“

“Yoshitomo is the best sushi place in Omaha, along with Koji and Umami. The portions are tiny, but their dishes are fun, creative, and delicious. My favorite is Kani Miso, which has the perfect balance of snow crab, red caviar and buttery rice. I also tend to judge the restaurant by the Uni they serve - whether the scent is plesant and the texture. Yoshitomo has such pleasant Uni delivered all the way fresh from Japan. They also change up their menu frequently, which adds to another fun element.

Personally, I like this restaurant slightly better than Koji, as Koji focuses more on skewers but here, the focus is more on other fun dishes. The servers are always friendly. As far as the atmosphere, I love their dim, theatrical lighting.“

“First time having tasty pizza last night. We’ve been trying different pizza places around Omaha and this one was a big hit with the family. Very affordable for a big family of 6 and the pizza was amazing. My kids and I went to pick up the pizza and the restaurant was extremely clean and such a nice little place. Next time we will definitely stay to eat instead of ordering out. I highly recommend trying tasty’s if you haven’t.“

“My wife and I were in town for the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit at the Mid-America Center. Afterward, we looked up restaurants near us and chose La Sierra because several reviews mentioned authentic cuisine. We were not misled. The menu is small and straight forward. Pick your fillings and choose it in either a gordita, burrito, quesadilla or on a plate. We both got selections as gorditas. My wife ordered: Asado De Puerco, Picadillo Verde and Picadillo Rojo. I ordered: Papas Con Carne, Papas Con Chorizo and Deshabrada. I also wound up getting a burrito with Machaca. All the meats were seasoned nicely and delicious. Both the verde and rojo salsas they brought out enhanced the food. The rojo does have a kick (same sauce as in the Desshbrada) but the heat didn't linger so eating it was enjoyable. The margarita I ordered was delicious, made with real lime juice. Some people might complain because it is regular sized, served in a glass roughly the size of a martini glass. It isn't a gigantic gimmick you find in a lot of American-Mexican restaurants. It hit the spot! The fruit empanadas were lovely, the crust similar to a sugar cookie with strawberry or apricot. We tried both and thought the apricot won by a hair. Its sweet flavor was slightly stronger than the strawberry. The service was excellent, both our server and the gentleman from the kitchen (maybe owner) who brought out food to the table were extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with. We've marked La Sierra in our "must do again" list and when we care back in Omaha, we will be stopping in.“

“I was in the area for vacation and stumbled upon this lovely coffee shop in Benson. I got a cappuccino and a cinnamon roll (larger than I anticipated, though an excellent surprise). The cappuccino was superb, they aren't using cheap coffee beans here. A bit of a molasses or brown sugar taste to the espresso which I found phenomenally delicious. Besides the food, the interior is perfectly mixed with modern and rustic. Plenty of space to sit, WiFi, and power outlets. If you are looking for a great coffee shop to visit, look no further than Hardy Coffee Co.“

“Got the Acapulco Salad and Premium Margarita. The margarita was fantastic and the salad was good. I enjoyed the shrimp but I wouldn’t order it again. Our table was pretty dirty and I had to wipe the seats off before we sat down. Don’t necessarily know if I will go again.“

The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious. “Came downtown for a day date with my husband. Stopped at Hardy's Coffee first thing in the morning. Good service and coffee. Loved the environment and design. It is spacious with lots of tables. Great place to come hang out or study. I also love that the business is locally owned and family owned. To add, we did have to pay for street parking which is expected for downtown.“

Then dive into the Étouffée which boasts generous portions of crawfish on rice with a deliciously spiced creamy cajun sauce. Get a side of bread with this one to fully enjoy all it has to offer. If you’ve got a big appetite, add-on an order of Red Beans & Rice for another taste of a staple creole dish. Also, put a little spin on all of it with their assortment of house made hot sauces, each of which were uniquely packed with flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience brought by friendly staff and exceptional chefs all who left no detail unattended.
