“I first visited this place when it opened and I was quite surprised of the progress it has made. We arrived around 2:40 on a Sunday. There were out of some ingredients whoch makes total sense. I got a Vanilla latte and it was delish! I also got hot chocolate for the kiddos and they lived it. The chocolate was rich and tasty. The service does need a little refinement.A brief thank you for stopping buy or explanation of the menu. The ambiance was quite nice also. Relaxed and kid friendly, board games are available. I was so glad they added food items to their menu!! Overall good experience“
“I absolutely love this place. We’re a family of gamers, nerds and we’re millennial parents. So we grew up with playing SNES and eating Cereal. Love that when I’m on vacation I can go back to my childhood. Love the atmosphere and the service and the coffee and drinks are amazing!Must go here if you’re visiting Omaha“
“First went to this place with my girlfriend and I fell in love. We had breakfast and coffee and the food was delicious. What's better is the service. Cooked on the spot and served with love and care. We can't stay away from this place! Traditional Ethiopian!!“
“Reis’ Bakery offers a taste of fine European baked goods right here in Omaha. Their offerings are of the highest quality and will delight any foodie. The crew at Reis’ goes above and beyond when it comes to service with a smile and lots of heart. Thank you for your wonderful act of kindness.“
“I’ve only been here three times while passing through Omaha on travels, there’s no other coffee shop in Omaha I’ll go to other than Howlin Hounds! Excellent service and top notch coffee at a great price. I’ve ordered for myself, my wife, and my son, and each drink was made to perfection! I just wish I had more excuses to travel to Omaha for a cup.“
“Great little coffee shop! Very clean and nicely decorated. The owner and another barista were working when 9 in my group came in. The owner and barista were very friendly and welcoming. They handled our drinks quite well (and were quite delicious) and not a very long wait at all. The owner was very kind and took the time to explain several things that were not familiar to us. All in our party enjoyed trying a new to us coffee shop.“
“Delicious food, amazing atmosphere, and friendly staff. Stopped in on a work trip from Cincinnati and was greeted by one of the owners who was so friendly and informative. Our server, Raechel, was really helpful in helping us order. We’ll be making a trip back to Omaha just to try more of the options! It would be a great place for drinks and snacks with friends before/after an event. Definitely wish we had a location closer to us!! Hopefully they start franchising soon.“
“I don't ever write reviews but I haven't had a donut that was fresh in 7 years due to a gluten restriction. I love donuts. I nearly cried. It was so good I wouldn't have known it was gluten free. It is a small business and the owners does a great job all around. I am so very grateful to the owner for making gluten free donuts and having them on hand daily.“
“Amateur is my second favorite coffee shop in Omaha! Their vegan mission and sustainable coffee jar program are radical in the best way possible. The staff are very kind and courteous and the general cohesiveness of this place is very organized and well thought out.“
“We offer these hand pies for breakfast at our short- term vacation rental and our guests literally mention them in the reviews about their stay. Our nine year old also absolutely loves them and would eat them every day if he could.Nostalgic and comfort food feels for all ages! ?✨“
“Hardy's has vegan options. This is why I am a customer. Their vegan items are quite yummy. I'm giving 5 stars because I like what's vegan, the shop is a nice place to be, and the staff always behaves pleasantly. However, this review will include an important complaint that will hopefully help owners understand the seriousness of VEGANISM to their vegan customers. Whenever I order the vegan burrito in person, I'm always asked by staff if I want sour cream with it, to which I always reply, "no, sour cream isn't vegan." There is, of course, vegan sour cream, and Hardy's doesn't carry any. I ordered doordash, and the sour cream came in the bag. On the app, I didn't have an option to reject the non-vegan topping. To be vegan is to boycott all products that come from animal use.Having a non-vegan item included with a vegan order as default is a display of ignorance. Can I trust that the other things they SAY are vegan actually are? Do not call something 'vegan' on your menu if the whole order is not. Dairy items should never be volunteered to those not asking for it. Cow products are not positive for many reasons: antibiotic resistance, animal exploitation, environmental damage, etc. Consider those who are lactose intolerant. That's an allergy! In addition, it's important to connect with loss of business for limiting the vegan options. You know this to be true already based on the success of the brownie—which is always vegan. Vegans only choose animal-free foods—with no exceptions. If someone says they're vegan but they partake in non-vegan action periodically, they don't understand what the Philosophy of Veganism is. It is not merely a diet, it's an ethical way of living that boycotts all animal use, all the time, as far as possible. Now, pre-vegans DO eat vegan food. For example, I love poppyseed muffins. There are delicious vegan poppyseed muffins I buy at Whole Foods. I wouldn't cheat on my ethical standards just because I want a poppyseed muffin, I'm at Hardy's, and I don't want to make the drive to Whole Foods. I choose the vegan option instead, whatever flavor it may be. Boycotting the use of animals is more important than my taste preference for a POPPYSEED PASTRY, and the vegan option is delicious anyway. In reverse, pre-vegans aren't boycotting items ABSENT of cow's milk, chicken's eggs, honey, and anything else from an animal. Pre-vegans are who mostly buy that vegan brownie, and I doubt the majority of them even notice the LACK OF dairy, honey, and egg in it. I can't even tell a vegan pastry is vegan based on taste alone, because cow's milk and chicken's egg isn't what makes baked goods taste how they do. The plant ingredients bring them to life. If I was lied to, and told something was vegan when it wasn't, how would I know? The flavor profile isn't much different. You can't actually detect those ingredients in baked goods without a superhuman palate. What's the point of making any pastry non-vegan anymore? Animal ingredients are outdated. I also love cinnamon rolls. They are non-vegan most of the week, but on Friday and/or Saturday I can sometimes get a vegan cinnamon roll from Hardy's! Why are they not vegan all week? When desired vegan option is unavailable, vegans will leave and go elsewhere, or make it themselves. Lost business. I've gone in before for coffee and pastry when all vegan options were sold out, so I bought coffee only. If all non-vegan pastries were sold out and a pre-vegan came in for the same purpose, with their coffee they'd get a vegan pastry. No loss. By not making all pastries vegan and having default condiments for everyone be vegan, the result is lost business and waste. Aside from the ethical reasons to be vegan, I also understand that animal foods are detrimental to human health (Book: How Not To Die by Micheal Greger, MD). That cow sour cream went right down my garbage disposal. If y'all made your poppyseed m“
“This place really surprised me as I was not expecting quality boba in a mall... I've tried many different boba spots from Asian markets to boba shops and this is by far, hands down BEST BOBA IN NEBRASKA! Not only is the boba amazing, the staff is fast and very friendly! Boba so good I went back for seconds. 10/10 recommend! You won't be disappointed by the variety and quality of the drinks!“
“I've been to Spielbound many times for their pub quiz and for days of game play. It's a super fun concept, and a nice way to spend an afternoon with friends! The day passes for a full day of game play can run from $5-$7, depending on the day, which is pretty low when you see how many games and activities they have. They have HUNDREDS of games to play, and are adding more all the time. There is even a box out to suggests new games they may not have. Aside from all the fun games to play, you may get a bit peckish after a full day there, so they do have food and drink options too! Drink-wise, their coffee is out of this world delicious, and always comes with super cute foam art on top. I get the Sweet Victory latte, which is butterscotch and caramel and SO tasty. They also have some alcoholic options, like beer, wine, cocktails, and ciders. Day drinking and board games could be a lot of fun! In terms of food, they have pizza that is sourced from Tasty Pizza. I know it's heat and eat, but it was actually pretty dang good! However they're heating it up to serve is an excellent method because it does not taste unfresh at all. We had the hamburger pizza and it was super flavorful and filling. (We will definitely be stopping at Tasty Pizza to try some other flavors of their pizza, based on this!) Their fries were also pretty yummy, and came with bbq sauce and ranch to dip them in. I know fries are fries, but these were full of flavor and had a nice crunch. Aside from the games and food/drinks being delicious, the staff is also wonderful, helping you choose a drink, answering questions, and constantly restocking the games. These people have the patience of a saint! I definitely recommend Spielbound for an affordable and fun activity with the added bonus of enjoyable food and drinks, too.“
“Reminds me of the cafés in the northeast. It had a wonderful atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and patient as we figured out what we wanted since this was our first time. We just stopped in for coffee, so didn't try any food, but I would definitely recommend.“
“incredible vibes! I missed being near a college campus and spending time at a place where the location itself was loved for its ambience, space, and availability. The hot chocolate that I had there was delicious… I obviously can’t speak for the coffee, but I highly recommend as a date spot, a study space by yourself or with friends, or just a place to be!“
“Love this place. It's a regular stop on walks. Super friendly & will greet you by name when you're a regular. They give great drink recommendations when you want to try something different, and they always spoil my pup with a treat (or 3). And they have the best chai latte! Hands down, our favorite coffee shop.“
“Such a fun and comfy spot to get some work done or meet with friends. The decor of Myrtle & Cyprus is bright and clean. There are plenty of places to sit inside and outside. Being in the heart of Gifford Park it is a great community spot and the staff and patrons alike are very kind. They also have a wide variety of delicious food!“
“We made a point to stay at a hotel nearby last night so we could come to this shop. We found this place on a previous trip, and since we were coming through town again, we knew we wanted to come back! Great food, friendly people, and a relaxing vibe.“
“I go out of my way to get food and drinks from Stir. Their quality is above and beyond in all aspects. They also use high quality oat milk without all the yucky additives which is important to me. Love going here just to work on my laptop in the fresh open atmosphere as well!“
“It was a nice brunch. Several got the chicken fried steak and they loved it. The sweet potato burger was amazing. The churro french toast and pancakes was perfect. One got the good looking bowl and liked it. The biscuits and gravy had an a wonderful flavor but very hard biscuit. We had so much food, so no need to redo. Chalk it up to perhaps being the last of the batch? Lots of people so some things was forgotten but quickly got it. Very sweet people.“
“Exceptional multi-roaster cafe, great atmosphere, and a fantastic organization. So many pour over offerings from some of the world’s top roasters, almost impossible to choose what to drink (in the best possible way). Can’t afford to miss this spot if you’re in “
“I was looking for an intimate, local coffee shop on a Sunday that is open past 1pm (apparently nonexistent), so I stumbled here just because it was close to the other shop I tried to go to. This place screams local, quaint, and is the definition of independent coffee from the decor to the ambiance. With just enough chatter to keep it interesting, but not too loud to get work done or enjoy a book. The espresso was smooth, not torched like some places do and I decided to try a breakfast puff which was scrumptious too. If you're in the neighborhood check them out!“
“Green Bean is delicious! I always get the strawberry banana smoothie, it tastes natural compared to a lot of other places. Here its like the smoothies I make at home and I love how big their large size is, because I usually can finish a smoothie in the car on my way home ? And to top it off they have a rewards program! Def my favorite place in the neighborhood for breakfast.“
“The ambiance of the establishment was exceptionally inviting, characterized by a serene and relaxed atmosphere that I greatly appreciated. The presence of pool tables added a unique and enjoyable dimension to the overall experience. Furthermore, the staff members were notably amicable and welcoming, contributing positively to our visit. The quality of the copy was outstanding, enhancing the ambiance and ensuring a memorable visit. This combination of a congenial environment, engaging activities, and stellar service underscores the establishment's commitment to providing an enjoyable and high-quality experience for its guests.“
“I got the Carmel vibe and pesto toast and both were delicious. It took a while for the order but the weekend rush was unending. There was limited seating and it did get fairly loud, but overall it was a cute aesthetic and a great coffee shop to meet up with friends. I'm very intrigued by the various flavors and coffee flights offered.“
“I had ordered the chicken and waffles, waffles by themselves, chicken and spaghetti, and the chicken omelet everything was delicious. Whoever that young nan was that cooked my food he needs to have a raise. This was my first time ordering from you guys and it reminded me of home.“
“I have purchased 8 books here and EVERY SINGLE ONE has been a hit. I trust their shelves! Plus its a great place to get some work done, to have hard convos with friends, to write or to read. Coffee is good; hot cocoa is great too. Def check out the books!“
“My experience was nothing short of excellent. My coffee—a Guatemala brewed in a Chemex pour over—was excellent. I got several refills. The space is combined with a plant shop, although where one begins and the other ends is hard to tell. The style is upcycled vintage (loved the church pew and community sketchbooks) but with a professional eye, nothing thrown together. Finally, the service (by owner Matt) was excellent. Besides being willing to engage with my chaotic early morning road trip energy, he kept the shop humming and left everyone I saw him encounter with an appreciation for positive vibes. Well done. I'll make this place a Must Stop on my quarterly cross-country travels.• There was short term parking behind the building and paid street parking out front. There is a smallish outdoor seating area near the entry and indoor low-top tables to accommodate plenty of laptop users or artists inside.Parking: There was short term parking for a couple of vehicles behind the building near the Holiday Inn Express and paid street parking out front.“
“Easy to pop in and get some work done at Roast! They have friendly people serving coffee who will give you great recommendations. Super close to UNO, it is a great place to study or meet up with friends. They have outdoor seating as well, and are a short walk from the park.“
“Really loved the space as it makes for great meeting area or working. The menu is pretty simple. I had a matcha which was much sweeter and heavier than I would normally for it tasted more like drinking ice cream than a matcha. The staff was incredibly friendly and we talked with them multiple times during our visit. I'd be interested in trying coffee or latte next time as the sweetness was much more than I anticipated.“
“I already loved Archetype Coffee, but the one in Millwork Commons is special. The open space and sleek industrial style is perfectly complimented by the pops of color from digital and traditional forms of art. The matcha was creamy and smooth, the strata was herbaceous and comforting. 10 out of 10, would absolutely recommendKid-friendliness: The open and colorful space would definitely inspire any young artists or aspiring architects“
“Stories is my favorite local coffee shop in Omaha! Cozy and lively atmosphere with the best coffee. Their cinnamon roll lattes and dirty chais are delish. Both the Davenport and Grenta locations are my go-to places to meet up with friends!Parking: Ample parking at the Davenport, Gretna and Lifegate locations!“
“I moved to Nebraska for my job and loved living here! Everyone is super friendly and pretty young so it was easy to make friends here! Anytime I needed maintenance, they would come quick and fix any issue. Super clean! I recommend these apartments!“
“Lovely local gem! Glad we found this space. Adequate seating, welcoming staff, lovely menu! Drinks were a hit! The Flight was a way to sample several drinks and support this small business! The Matcha & Chai were favs! They have local honey for sale as well.Vegetarian options: The Vegan Burrito with a side of avocado!“
“Glad to have found this breakfast spot. Housed in a mid century meets diner decor it has a nice mix of counter and booth seating. The wait staff is attentive and efficient at keeping the orders coming while keeping your coffee filled. The food is great - we've been in a couple of times now and everything has been delicious and enough for a sizable take home box. If you enjoy quality food in an authentic locally owned setting, this is something to try.“
“Hill of Beans is probably my favorite coffee roasters period. This place has a great vibe for getting delicious coffee while also having some more seating than their roaster location on center. I had the pumpkin spice blended drink and it’s >>>> Starbucks.“
“Good spot to grab a drink when out running errands (happens to be located right by a Target/Ulta/Ross/World Market). I like sweet drinks and my girlfriend likes tart drinks and we both have something we enjoy on the menu. I do like that you can buy the drink packs to take home because I don't always have time to stop by on my way to work or when I want one. Definitely a great spot to check out.“
“I traveled from Lincoln to here because I had heard how lovely the coffee is. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. I got a cappuccino and when I tell you they have HIGH QUALITY baristas because I have never tasted a cup this delicious (not just a midwest perspective, I've travelled outside such as Australia). Must also be the beans but it was a delectable 6 oz cup of delight and it compares to the best that is out there.“
“Had a gay panic here which was a embarrassing vibe, hahaha, luckily it's lgbt friendly and the staff didn't mind my Queer self bumping into everything.Came with my mom, had a cookie and a London fog, really enjoyed their take on Earl Grey tea. There is a large step in the middle of the cafe, I'd be careful if you have a wheelchair , it may not be accessible in the back entrance, the front entrance is better for those with disabilitiesOver all I'd say it's a nice place here.“
“Had Hardy Coffee one other time prior to this when sister was in town visiting. Figured I would try again since been a while.Ordered Basic Breakfast Burrito & large Benchmark. Coffee good but a tad bitter, so my have to experiment with brew on next visit. Breakfast Burrito had no bacon &/or cheese as listed online menu description. Still good though with the side sour cream & salsa.Def will be trying again & hopefully with a much better result, other than that I am pleased.“
“Haley is the best employee Hay Jay could have anyone with a smile as bright as hers early in the morning with the most positive energy she deserves a raise for sure. I told her to make me what she thinks would be delicious and it was beyond that?? I would recommend Hay Jay to anyone because of Haley.“
“Best spot for bubble tea and onigiri! I make sure to stop where whenever I am in town or even passing thru Omaha. This is probably my favorite place in Omaha given how often I come here. There is so much variety to their menu and they prolly have the best prices for bubble tea!“
“Small work group baby shower. We wanted a pretty place yet a variety of alcohol/non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. Edge of the Universe was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Beyond the beauty, these servers went above and beyond. We didn't book the entire place since it was only a group of nine but they created a baby-specific playlist and changed the upper lights to pink. The drinks were fun--LED light ice cubes and woman-shaped glasses. Affogato was spot on! The well-priced charcuteries ($30) contained a good selection, fully covering large boards. It's a large, yet intimate, creative space. They had a large calendar of activities too. Talking to an owner, they also offer to rent out the space and will curate an activity (escape room, bingo, etc...) for your event; milestone birthdays, company/team outing, showers, etc... Save yourself the stress--score!“
“We used Pettit's for a wedding in August and could not be more pleased! Ordered 4 flavors of sheet cake and fed over 400 guest! Prices were amongst the lowest we found and they had flavors we couldn't get from other locations such as peanut butter and a raspberry that was the guest favorite! Easy to work with and let us pick it up the day of with no delays.“
“This place helped support an organization that our daughter benefits from so I have their coffee a try. It was so good I've ordered several more bags. Today we stopped by to pick up more coffee, and grabbed a soft pretzel. Absolutely love their coffee and that pretzel was great!“
“We opted for the Good Evans (GE) brunch and were treated to Celeste's cheerful service in a bright, comfortable setting. Their delightful dishes, GE Breakfast Pie with a biscuit & gravy side, and a Garden Omelette, sourdough (MIA but not missed), and dressed greens (wonderfully sweet surprise). Both dishes showcased stellar flavors and proved GENEROUS in portions, enough to take some home (not sure we could share one plate). We enjoyed our inaugural visit and were invited back as new regular customers. Thanks, Celeste and your kitchen teammates.“
“This is the only place in Omaha where you can get great drinks AND amazing vegan pastries (vegan hand pies, cake and cookies) any day of the week. The staff is so nice and helpful, and I love that I can stop by to get some goodies from my all-time favorite vegan bakery (Oso Good) and whenever I want.“
“Really great, went in today for the first time and was helped by a very nice person who explained their setup to me. I tried the funnel cake, lemon, cinnamon sugar, chocolate peanut butter, and original glazed. All were amazing! Very soft donuts and very quick service, can’t wait to try their drinks soon :)“
“I stopped in before going to sit with my boyfriend at the hospital. The ladies there made me a mango fruit and ice smoothie with a scoop of protein. It was a delicious quick lunch. To top it off they gave in to me for free as a random act of kindness. I was just tearing up with gratitude!“
“I love this place. Every city should have one. The breakfast muffins are delicious, the Irish coffee is a good morning kickstart, along with a very cozy atmosphere. The variety of market items has me hooked. The service is great and the people are sincerely friendly.Try Godega, I highly recommend it..“
