I ordered a custom Magic the Gathering cake for my husband’s birthday and two dozen cupcakes for my son’s birthday party (the parties were about a week apart). Things I liked: how slick the online ordering system is, how many questions were asked to make sure we were on the same page regarding the vision, how easy it was to pay online, and how fast pickup was. Things I loved: how tasty the cake and buttercream was, how moist and flavorful everything was, and how wonderfully everything looked! The cake and cupcakes were a huge hit! The cupcakes in the picture are the last two survivors.“

“This is a place to go on a Saturday and order the apple fritters with Carmel on top of it! Me and my friends do this every now and then and it sets our weekend shopping trips off to a beautiful start. Bring a fork along because they'll put it inside a little plastic container to enjoy with your coffee. We usually sit downtown at the park and enjoy a nice conversation before going shopping!“

“They have a rewards system that is definitely helpful for when the kids want to ball out and get something off all three menus 😅 typically for our family visits range from $25-$70 before any tips. The different mochinut are so airy and delicious. I don’t think we’ve tried one we haven’t liked. They offer the traditional Korean corndog, half&half, as well as all cheese or beef. The cool ranch and hot Cheeto are our go to’s.

They have added Taiyaki to their menu in recent months. I have had good and bad experiences with these. The first time it was forgotten and we got it pretty crispy & not appealing. Second time though; choose a different flavor not sure if that played into the difference but it came out fluffy and delicious.“

“We loved the selection of cakes, cookies and pastries. It is tight around the food cases that are self serve. There was a group of people when we went and it was difficult to get around them. We got ours to go and the group was waiting on coffees and was blocking the way to get to the door. It is a tight area to move around when people loiter.“

I picked up a coffee at Dundee Double Shot (favorite coffee in town) and took a drive through Country Club area (favorite spot in Omaha to feed my passion for local historical neighborhoods). I don’t commonly have a sweet tooth, but with the coffee I thought I’d see if Benson had a bakery (I’m dating myself but I remember the original one that was there for decades). No bakeries, but I found this one back in Dundee on Google. Stopped in and got a strawberry and a chocolate pastry for the road, per Abby’s suggestion. On Google they had hours til 5, but may have been a different location, so very sorry if I was last minute! Noticed here it says 3. Abby was GREAT! But my eyes were larger than my stomach. I ended up consuming both within a short time (woah!) Fantastic! Will definitely be back with the wife! Had to get out of the car to disperse of the powdered sugar on my hoody. Well worth it! Love the little independent shops!“
