“My wife and I were in town for the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit at the Mid-America Center. Afterward, we looked up restaurants near us and chose La Sierra because several reviews mentioned authentic cuisine. We were not misled. The menu is small and straight forward. Pick your fillings and choose it in either a gordita, burrito, quesadilla or on a plate. We both got selections as gorditas. My wife ordered: Asado De Puerco, Picadillo Verde and Picadillo Rojo. I ordered: Papas Con Carne, Papas Con Chorizo and Deshabrada. I also wound up getting a burrito with Machaca. All the meats were seasoned nicely and delicious. Both the verde and rojo salsas they brought out enhanced the food. The rojo does have a kick (same sauce as in the Desshbrada) but the heat didn't linger so eating it was enjoyable. The margarita I ordered was delicious, made with real lime juice. Some people might complain because it is regular sized, served in a glass roughly the size of a martini glass. It isn't a gigantic gimmick you find in a lot of American-Mexican restaurants. It hit the spot! The fruit empanadas were lovely, the crust similar to a sugar cookie with strawberry or apricot. We tried both and thought the apricot won by a hair. Its sweet flavor was slightly stronger than the strawberry. The service was excellent, both our server and the gentleman from the kitchen (maybe owner) who brought out food to the table were extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with. We've marked La Sierra in our "must do again" list and when we care back in Omaha, we will be stopping in.“

“Gotta give a shout out to the crew last night. This restaurant was amazing. 1st time trying it. They were so accommodating. We had a group of 16 people for graduation dinner. They worked so hard to seat us all together. They were such a friendly group. They let us all sit at the bar while we waited on our table. It was a wonderful experience dining here. “Astonishing does not describe our experience at Santoro. We had been long-time patron of Rivera's and have been looking forward to trying this since Santoro was announced. It surpassed every expectation we had. The new dishes were sublime. The Steak Aguachile was complex, the Pork Shank was fall off the bone delicious and my wife's shrimp was perfection. Cannot wait to go back!“

“Everything about this place was good the staff was amazing and friendly!!! The food servings were plentiful. The restrooms were clean and away from any sitting area so nobody had to sit by the restrooms!! The prices were reasonable they do have handicapped parking and the entrance does have ramps to get up to it. Do not have handicap automatic doors so if you need help with that bring someone with you or call the restaurant to see if someone can help. Otherwise a great place to take yourself or your family to eat. I forgot to write that the staff do speak both Spanish and English.“

For those who consider this”Tex-Mex”!or not authentic Mexican food, I invite you to Tennessee where every “Mexican” restaurant is the same. Different names, but same tasting food. I guess what I am saying is you don’t know what you’ve got until you can’t get it. So, for this loyal customer, I consider this the best Mexican food ever. “I arrived at 8:15pm tonight & they were mopping the whole restaurant floor it was wet everywhere no biggie figured they were just cleaning up a little bc of COVID. I asked “are you closing early?” The young lady said “no we close at 10pm” I said ok great. I get up to order for my daughter and I and they said they were out of chicken for the night. I looked down and a lot of the containers were close to empty or empty too. The lady behind me also asked for something & they said they were out of that too. The grills were off and multiple staff were just standing around. If you close at 10pm why are you done cooking for the night at 8:15pm? Doesn’t make sense. If it was 9:15pm I could kinda understand.. Anyway I drove across the street to Chipotle & the lady behind me left also. I hope tonight was a one time thing bc that sucks if that happens regularly.“
