“Great place to reserve for a large group or party! Saro kindly hosted my graduation party and it was the most wonderful experience. The layout is open in such a way that I did not feel like anyone was excluded during the party because we could always have eyes on everyone there. The turnout was quick throughout the entire night for drinks and we never ran out of yummy easily snackable plates. As an added bonus, everything on their menu is gluten free so it was very inclusive to our GF friends & family. They also let me play my own music. 10/10 recommend!Vegetarian options: Multiple menu options availableDietary restrictions: Everything is gluten free“
“Kros Strain has some excellent beers. If you like IPAs, they have several. The atmosphere here was nice and matches the original location. The only thing I'd say negatively is that the prices, in my opinion, are a bit high. It could be that they focus on pale ales, which are costly to make. Overall, it's some of the best beer in Omaha, so I'll gladly splurge from time to time. The staff was friendly, and the patrons were friendly. I'd gladly come back when I'm in the area again.“
“This place is wonderful! The staff provides a level of service that is hard to find in the Omaha area and the food is spot on every time we come, never disappointing! And the quality to value is even better. While the restaurant is busy and lively, you can still hear the person you are dining with.Zach and the restaurant manager were great on our last visit and we appreciate their teamwork and personal level of service during such a crazy busy evening!“
“WE LIVED FOR THIS PLACE!! The DJ, I cannot believe how superb his music choice was. My group was 60s to 21 and we all danced for hours. Melanie and Amber were fantastic waitresses. The drinks were GREAT prices and everyone was so friendly. The bartenders were so aware of the bar and assisting people the whole night. We ordered nachos and so tasty! We left and tried other places and STILL came back here. I travel a lot and would have to say this was hands down my favorite spot to dance and drink!“
“Wonderful atmosphere. Kind severs. Drinks were a little expensive. I was a little disappointed in the server's lack of knowledge on the progressive party and Teddy Roosevelt's attempt at a 3rd term under the Bull-moose party. But, overall, a good experience.“
“I've been told to go to J Gilberts for years now. Very happy I finally had the chance. I loved the prix fixe menu options. The wedge salad was amazing along with my prime strip. Cooked to perfection and crazy flavorful. Finished with a delicious creme brulee. I flipped a coin for my starter cocktail and would definitely try the smoked old fashioned next time.“
“Mushroom bake and cheesecake were outstanding. Paid over $100 for a bone in ribeye and it was raw in the middle portion near the bone. Not sure if it's because they only broil their steaks and can't get the interior warm before the outside burns but I expected better preparation for the cost. Still a good cut of meat.“
“Amazing beer selection! They do have food we looked at the menu but didn't eat there. The food we saw going to other tables looked like really good bar food!Parking: Park at the door, normal parking lot around the building that the bar is in.Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalks around buildings with ramp cutouts in the curbs.“
“We don't get to go out like we used to (money doesn't go very far any more), so we treated our daughter with her choice of meals for making honor roll. She chose Shuck's as her fave. Food was great (we had the angry crab linguini, blackened chicken Alfredo and seared salmon, along with calamari and oysters Rockefeller for apps). They made a goof on the apps, forgetting to put the order in, but they made it right and our special night remained special. Always a super friendly staff, so even with the goof we'd have gone back for another special family night out.“
“First time at the Homy Inn. I loved the atmosphere. Champagne from the tap… no question it’s not Cristal, but a fun and charming idea.We enjoyed the crowd, great music and lots of decorations accumulated over many years to peruse. This could be one of my favorite hangouts!“
“Really great place! Ordered the Havanna Pizza which they hooked it up with a bunch of fresh jalapeños, which a love! Delicious. Tyler, the bartender was great and super chill dude, plated great music and did great behind the bar. Highly recommend if you're laid back and not boujee as f. Great vibe.“
“THE BEST neighborhood bar you'll find. And you can take your drinks out to the patio if you need a smoke, or a spot under the umbrellas when it's nice. They have frozen pizzas and a food truck in the lot, only open certain times though. Ask your friendly bartender.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp on the patio to enter the bar.“
“I like the cozy bar and grill type interior but the employee who greeted people coming through the door was very loud. It seemed he was yelling at everyone. He continued to speak very loudly to everyone in the dining area.. it was a very odd experience.“
“I absolutely loved stumbling across Proof after moving to Omaha. This has been the perfect place for casual outings to catch up with friends and family. Their specialty cocktails are all delicious, and you could not ask for a larger selection of spirits. A few favorites: House Bourbon Old Fashioned, White Rose, Espresso Martini, and the Mai Thai. I especially recommend grabbing a seat at the bar at least once so you can have an up-close experience and watch them make their craft. They have diverse table options, but I would call ahead if you have a larger group!“
“Taxis is one of those few places I would say its a "must go". When you see Bar and Grille it isn't what you are truly thinking. When you walk in its very nice, homie, clean, and almost would call it fancy. I had the dijon, garlic shrimp as an appetizer and it was probably the best shrimp I have ever had. I had the French Dip. hands down the BEST French dip in Omaha. The au jus alone is worth the trip but you add on how good the meat was cooked, the mushrooms being tender and the onions being perfectly done I would recommend this to anyone who will listen. To top it off their martini selections are unique but they are also so delicious. Try the Salted nut roll, you wont regret it!“
“Amazing drinks!! They really take the time to know their liquors and how to blend them together. Best Manhattan I've ever ordered!I was there for a company event and they had some appetizers set up at a table, was well displayed but I did not eat any....I mean drinks were free.I will definitely come again!“
“Mike was my waiter he was absolutely fantastic and outgoing. You can really tell this is a happy atmosphere. Sheena was also a great manager and greeted us at our table. The food was delicious...... Spectacular end to a long day thanks Matteress Factory!“
“My son and I spent a couple of hours here playing games and we had so much fun! It was great getting to spend time doing this with him without a bunch of kids running around! We played a lot if pinball and skee ball but he also played a few of the old school games. We can't wait to go back!!“
“Great local dive bar - Nate the owner is great and the service from the bartenders is spot on. Sam!!!! She is a rock star!!! Fun funny and great Stop in for darts, drinks and a feel like the old school Cheer's where everyone knows your name!!!“
“The atmosphere and decor here is unmatched. Such a unique speakeasy. Love the Alice in wonderland theme and the cocktails were decent. Expensive but on par with any speciality cocktail lounge. You gotta get at least one that they light on fire. All the staff were super sweet as well.“
“Went to IBG to play Buzztime Trivia. Place was packed and quickly found out why. The service was outstanding even with how busy the grill was and the food was also excellent with very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend trying if you are in the area.“
“The staff, especially Shadow up at karaoke, kills it, every single weekend. They’re friendly, personal, and work extremely hard to make everyone feel welcomed! Shadow puts his personal touch to make everyone brave enough to sing feel welcome and backed up. I’ve never have felt as comfortable singing in a bar as when he’s the DJ.“
“Great little bar that specializes in craft beer. Always has a good rotating selection of local beers along with regionals. Usually has some selections on tap that you don’t see at other places around town. Also offer a selection of off sale craft beer.“
“My husband and I were in town for our yearly anniversary adventure. We had spent the day enjoying the town. We stopped in to have a few drinks before hitting the hotel. The bar tenders working was amazing. They were very personable and had great attitudes. The conversation was great. Loved they had games you could play. Hubby won battle ship and connect four. It truly was a fabulous place to end our evening and last night on our trip. I would recommend this little place, hands down, we loved it. My hot tottie was top notch. The old man tried several types of beer, and he enjoyed them.Thank you for an amazing time.“
“Well if this isn't a small town bar right off 680 North in Ft. Calhoun. Our family lives near by and we took over the patio for my MIL birthday. It's a dark but inviting bar when you walk in, a long narrow row of tables on one side and your stndard bar on the other. A larger space holds games, and more seating. The claw machine has a particularly strong grip, and I was able to win TWO animals for my kiddos. We had a great service for a party of 15 on the patio. We started with ice cold mini pitchers of beer, and then on to the food. The burger was great, and I loved the chicken thinly sliced on top of our salads. We finished the night with lemon drop shots, and dancing on the spacious patio. George, whoever he maybe, the owner, a regular, a stranger off the street, brought over a cupcake for my MIL and kids cups filled with candy for my two kids. It was a fantastic evening and I know we'll come back.“
“Pretty decent venue for the most part. I wasn't drinking alcohol, but when getting soda refills, I kept getting regular coke instead of diet Coke, which is not a big deal for me since I simply prefer the taste of one over the other, but if someone is diabetic then that could put them in danger. The bathrooms are also a downside. I cannot use certain types of facilities, but the stall for the toilet in one men's room barely gives you privacy and the other bathroom, the toilet is next to a partition, no stall at all. My worst nightmare! LolAt the end of the day, still a nice place to spend an evening.“
“I've never had a bad experience here, but I've never seen it busy either. The only drawback that I have is that they don't accept credit cards. There is an ATM available, but who wants to keep on paying those extra fees? Nobody. That's why I knocked it down one star.“
“What a cozy and fun bar! Came here for a night out for drinks on a saturday night with some family and friends! they had great drink options from beer to wine to cocktails! i had some of their espresso martinis and they were so yummy!! they bartender made the perfect blend of espresso and vodka, definitely was my favorite drink of the night :) we had great servers, they were super attentive and quick for refills! will be coming back :)“
“Great little downstairs bar in the Old Market area. No food service, but a great drink selection and service was always super fast and friendly. Restrooms were well-lit and clean. You can see the stage from pretty much every part of the bar and the sound was great! Friendly, welcoming crowd there, and a wide age-range.I'd definitely go back!“
“The staff are friendly and helpful, facilities are clean, and food is good. There are many activities available, like pool, mini bowling, pizza, cheeseburgers, and pickleball courts. The court rental price is high, but it was a fun time. The pickleball courts are enclosed outdoors. We played in 40 degree weather at 11pm and it was still warm enough to shed a few layers. The courts could use some updating as some sections of the panels are replaced with plastic sheets and the ball could bounce outside. Pickleball costs $20/hr; it's best to reserve a court in advance prior to going. If you're a night owl, the courts are usually not too busy after 10pm.“
“This bar is the friendliest bar I've been to in Benson! From the owners to the bartenders and regulars, they all were so nice and treated me like they have known me for years! I highly recommend this bar for all!! Check out the pics below!“
“Sometimes you don't want a pizza with goat cheese and a balsamic drizzle, sometimes you just want good old fashioned bar food, the clubhouse is the place to go when you want that bar food. My wife and I had a nice dinner there last week, and I wanted to leave them a good review. This is a total neighborhood bar, nothing fancy, just good food and good people, the staff is very friendly. They have a standard menu with typical bar fare, fries, rings, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They also generally have a special on the board, the night we went they had a Wisconsin bacon cheddar burger, which was great. We also had a basket of onion rings and a bowl of chili. The rings were nice, very crispy and tasty. The chili was definitely homemade and was perfect for a cold night, highly recommended. For all you bourbon guys like me, they also had a private barrel selection that was good“
“We love Josephine's Cozy Corner! It's always chill here and the service is great. Make sure you try out a Scooby Doo shot while you're here as it's the best! There is a pool table and it's a really cozy spot for couples or small groups. A hidden gem in Omaha!“
“Such a smart idea and nothing else like it in town. It was pretty quiet when we went around 1:30 on a Saturday. They had the Nebraska game playing and a bar for a great hangout session to take family or friends. There's also a bar with cocktails, NA drinks, and liquor/beer to order. We're pretty sure the person who owns the establishment was in the bar area and he was super kind and friendly. The lobster roll and the chicken tenders were delicious. The Connecticut role could have used more butter but otherwise a great ratio of lobster meat and a perfectly toasted roll. The chicken tenders were gluten free with nashville hot seasoning. The fries were crispy and the ranch was to die for. Both were served in about 5 minutes and we cannot wait to go back to try the others foods!“
“I have only been here twice, but both times I have loved the experience! The bartender really knows their stuff, and is good at balancing attending to patrons, memorizing orders to mix, and making conversation if you are sitting at the bar. Every drink I have seen comes out beautifully and each one I've tasted even more so. I have enjoyed trying the funky seasonal creations, and want to keep coming back for each new menu. I have not tried the NA drinks, but really appreciate that they are an option!!Drinks aside, I LOVE the small atmosphere, the quirky design of the interior, and whoever plays DJ deserves a raise. I would feel comfortable bringing anyone who enjoys cocktails or mocktails here, because of how inviting this place is.“
“Good layout and more room than I thought. Dope atmosphere with Josh Jone's Beats N Sheets event as well. Drinks could have been served faster and they ran out of Corona, Hennessey and Don Julio but that could be expected with this type of event!“
“Emmett's has a great space with shuffleboard, darts, and a good sound system for their jukebox. The bar tenders pour well and the patrons are friendly and fun. It's a dive but a great dive for meeting friends after a sports league and has the personality of a neighborhood bar and the prices to match. Heartily recommend coming here when it's snowing and you wanna make the best of an evening.“
“The name might make a serious foodie nervous. It feels too cheesy; too cutsie. Play on word restaurant names are a tall task and usually don't work out. Exhibit A is the all too common bad coffee shop named "common grounds" and exhibit B would be the subpar breakfast joint with the word "egg" thrown in there somewhere. However, Hook and Lime is the exception to this rule. I met a friend here for lunch and there was on wait, which seemed like a bad sign. I was pleasantly surprised with great service and even greater food. The waitress recommended the tacos, so we asked if we could one of each. Each taco was delicious and spiced perfectly. It is important to note that the food, while good, is more of a tex-mex rather than authentic mexican. Still delicious. Didn't have a margarita, but the waitress recommended them. Next time!“
“Great neighborhood bar with fantastic simple food. Absolutely love their chicken Philly! My husband loves their burgers and chicken sandwiches. They also have great onion rings and French fries. The regulars sitting at the bar will turn and look at you when you walk in but everybody's very friendly LOL!Vegetarian options: Grilled cheese sandwichWheelchair accessibility: Easy parking and easy access with tables and chairs.“
“Burke's is a definite Benson neighborhood staple, and it's for good reason :-) The bartenders are always super friendly, and they have some fun events like pub trivia and free pool days. The main entrance area has a pinball machine, the bar, and a few high top tables. There is a side room with the pool table, a fun claw machine, and some additional seating with tables. My favorite part is the amazing outdoor patio in the back, all made of wood! They have a great beer selection especially if you're a fan of "Dad beers" which I very much am. They also have the famous "Apple Pie Shots" which are delicious (and therefore dangerous). Burke's has a very "uncle's basement" vibe, but in the best way. The cool uncle with a pool table and claw machine!“
“AJ and Victoria are absolutely amazing!!! They are friendly and attentive at all times. AJ is always making sure nothin is bout to pop off and if so... U got to go! Haven't been comin here long but I do enjoy the environment ? and fried pickles and jalapenos! ??“
“Used to come here during my time as a grad student at Creighton nearly a decade ago after basketball games and on odd nights for affordable drinks in a friendly dive location. Since it is located away from the rest of downtown you come here for a more local flair and a traditional bar atmosphere. Recently was back in Omaha for a Jays basketball game and came here after the game - hasn’t changed a bit despite all that’s changed in the world. Happy Bar will always be an Omaha classic.“
“Everything was great! You order at the bar for food and drinks, and they will give you the drinks to take back to your table and then bring the food out when ready. It's super dark inside hahaha. They do have a fun vibe and a large projector/TV behind the bar that plays movies. Popcorn chicken definitely tasted homemade and not from a frozen bag which was great, the Nacho Tots are my absolute favorite in Omaha, burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, it does not come with any sides!“
“The menu has rotated again!! Of course it's awesome. Some great hot drinks to warm the soul Irish Coffee pictured below.Try the other warm one with a hint of orange and cognac.Be sure to try them if you are looking for an amazing old fashion .“
“Came here for a work lunch & it was great! The crispy brussels sprouts were definitely the right choice for an appetizer. They were delicious! Nice & crispy with flavorful sauce. My chicken caprese sandwich was also good, although the bread did start to lose its crispiness & get soggy about halfway through due to the sauces & tomato juice. At least it didn't completely disintegrate. The chicken itself was kind of bland, but the balsamic glaze & pesto mostly made up for it. The part that made the experience so wonderful was the SERVICE!! Our server was so sweet & attentive. I've had a lingering cough since being sick last month & she heard me & made me a mint tea on the house! It was delicious & made my throat feel so much better. Great experience overall!“
“The food menu is small and a step above what you would expect from a pub. Everything is good. Love the smoked wings and beet burger (still great since the last time I went in 2018). For the drinkers, the cocktail and beer selection is great. There are also specials each day. Glad I came back with the family.“
“Great service. I was on a date a couple of weeks ago and stepped outside to smoke, one of the bartenders came out and pulled me to the side saying that she wanted to ask how well I knew my date because he went to the bathroom after ordering my drink and it seemed off. It is so nice to know the bar staff is so observant and so conscious of others safety.Drinks are great, prices are fair, fun atmosphere, board games, nice firepit. Love this little neighborhood bar.“
“I wish I had taken photos! I have been hoping for a martini bar in Omaha for so long and Stuffed Olive delivered. I got the delicious chocolate cake martini and the crab Rangoon dip! Our server gave great recommendations and was so helpful! Super chic decor and dim lighting with the perfect amount of volume made this venue perfect! Not too loud, great vibe and great options!“
“It has a creepy theme (mass murders) and the atmosphere is unkept, with empty boxes around the perimeter and tables stacked against the wall and blocking the shuffleboard table. But, it’s a dive bar. Very fun owner who’s always available to tell her (and her bar’s) story and friendly, attentive bar keepers. A favorite stop when Millard Avenue dive bar hopping.“
“Great old building that has been beautifully revamped. Up scale atmosphere. Food is beyond fabulous! Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with homemade ricotta, Caramel Apple French Toast, tator tots, Eggs Benedict with Italian sausage and Cannoli DiGiacomo are all incredibly delicious. Service is great. The owners know what they are doing! This was our second trip and will not be our last as this is our new place for bunch. It was packed today so I suggest you make a reservation. You will not be sorry!“
