“The food is amazing! I can't bring myself to eat anywhere else when we drive to Omaha. The staff is friendly and well trained. I see people complaining about the menu not always being available when the head chef isn't there. I see that as a true example of how passionate these guys are about their food, they won't even prepare a dish unless they know it will be perfect! 5 Stars! Best restaurant in Omaha.“

“Great food and atmosphere but needs work on handling large crowds for events. Tonight my fiance and I had a wild experience lol. Arrived knowing we would wait, was quoted 30 min to 1 hour. Agreed and took a seat at the bar for drinks, table was available within the 30 min time frame which was great. Was seated and didn’t see a server for 35 minutes, we expected a wait and wasn’t too bothered at this point over it. Once the server came over to us he said he thought we were being taken care of already since I had a drink from the bar. We brushed it off and placed our drinks and food order at that time. My food came out within 5 minutes and we were pretty stunned with how quick that came considering how packed it was. Now, after 10 min of him not getting his order and we also didn’t have our drinks we looked around to find someone to ask. I called out to the server and the manager several times, but didn’t succeed in grabbing their attention and fiance didn’t want me to get up and find someone. 40 minutes after my food arrived the server came up to us and I asked about his food and our drinks. I said well just take our bill and a to go box for mine. He did bring out my fiancés order and removed it from the bill. We understand it’s not entirely the servers fault but overall we were pretty bummed since we do enjoy this spot for the atmosphere and the food has always been good. A few other tables also were saying they had similar experiences tonight and also just wanted their bills as well.“

“Yoshitomo is the best sushi place in Omaha, along with Koji and Umami. The portions are tiny, but their dishes are fun, creative, and delicious. My favorite is Kani Miso, which has the perfect balance of snow crab, red caviar and buttery rice. I also tend to judge the restaurant by the Uni they serve - whether the scent is plesant and the texture. Yoshitomo has such pleasant Uni delivered all the way fresh from Japan. They also change up their menu frequently, which adds to another fun element.

Personally, I like this restaurant slightly better than Koji, as Koji focuses more on skewers but here, the focus is more on other fun dishes. The servers are always friendly. As far as the atmosphere, I love their dim, theatrical lighting.“

“Amazing, authentic Solmalian food with awesome service! We are white folks from Denver who accidentally stumbled into this place. We couldn't have been treated more kindly or served better food. We had no idea what Solmalian food was, but we'll be back! Very flavorful but not too spicy. Very reasonable price. Great experience that really made our trip to Omaha special!“

“First time having tasty pizza last night. We’ve been trying different pizza places around Omaha and this one was a big hit with the family. Very affordable for a big family of 6 and the pizza was amazing. My kids and I went to pick up the pizza and the restaurant was extremely clean and such a nice little place. Next time we will definitely stay to eat instead of ordering out. I highly recommend trying tasty’s if you haven’t.“

“Probably the only yakitori restaurant in Omaha but thankfully it's good. We enjoyed all the skewers we ordered: chicken thigh, breast, skin, meatball, pork belly and baby octopus. Wings were good but pretty spicy. Sushi rolls were tasty.“

“Cute place with plenty of seating. We were able to make a reservation online and get right in with two adults and a high chair. The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious. We both really enjoyed our drinks as well. I would return!“

“You owe it to yourself to try this place. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage and now I have crippling depression because I’ll never find a better plate of food. The plate was massive, the cabbage was perfectly cooked, the shaved corned beef wasn’t dry or overly salty, and there isn’t a word in english strong enough to describe how good the dijon cream sauce was. For a really simple plate of food, I was blown away by the preparation and the flavor of it all. My girlfriend ordered a chicken pot pie and creamy onion soup, both of which were incredible. The crust of the pot pie was a delicious flaky pastry and the filling was rich and hearty.
Portion sizes were substantial and the menu prices are stupid low (I think my massive plate of corned beef was ~$13) for the amount of food you get but it’s the quality of the dishes that really stands out.
Also, our server Maryam was really cool, super sweet, and has some great recommendations if you’re paralyzed by too many delicious options.
13/10. Might drive thru Nebraska again just for more S-tier irish food.“

“My husband picked up take out and it was FABULOUS! He said service was very efficient at pick up. He had brisket and ribs.....great! I had boudin balls....amazing and full of smokey pork.
Beans flavored with smoked meat was a bonus. Cornbread very tasty and not dry.
He loved the mac and cheese, too!

“Got the Acapulco Salad and Premium Margarita. The margarita was fantastic and the salad was good. I enjoyed the shrimp but I wouldn’t order it again. Our table was pretty dirty and I had to wipe the seats off before we sat down. Don’t necessarily know if I will go again.“

“Loved the food here. It was a perfect seafood spot for me and my husband. I am a seafood person, where he is not so much. He doesn't mind fish and chips, but that is the extent of his seafood. Where I want oyster, crabs, shrimp, claims.... everything. We made it just in time for happy hour and got oysters on special. They were delicious. The staff were friendly and supper quick. Shucks is a great place if you're looking for a quailty spot to eat.“

“My fiancé made reservations for my birthday! It was super special! We sat at the bar until our table was ready! The bartender was awesome! Super knowledgeable and it was apparent she loved her job! When we were seated at our table, we were seated at the Brother’s table room. Each room has a different theme. The setting was very intimate and romantic. I ordered the Filet Sebastian and Jeremy ordered the New York Pepper Strip. The meals were AMAZING! The adult drinks were yummy and for dessert, we ordered the flamming baked Alaska! Everything was perfect and our waitress was super friendly! It was the best Birthday dinner I ever had! I would recommend this restaurant a million times over! You will not be disappointed! Thank you to all of the staff that made my birthday dinner special!“

“We do our annual wine tour and had a late lunch here. It was amazing. Wonderful service, the employees and manager were very kind. The portions are very good. Very clean and nice drink menu. Highly recommend!“

“The burger patty made the burger. Real meat and obviously hand done. The meat was high quality. Got a chance to talk to the owner and found out the meat is delivered daily from a family owned local meat processor (bonus: you get to support two local businesses at one time when you eat here). The food is simple and real. The flavor feels wholesome.

The service is friendly and familiar. I was fortunate enough to watch the restaurant fill up with regulars for lunch and hear them all greeted by name. A restaurant that had that many happy regulars has some magic. I'm pretty sure it is the family that owns and operates it.

The neighborhood it is in is on the upswing with so many cool historic building. The restaurant has all the eclectic charm and character that it's years of history would demand.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! The flavors are so unique but flavored to perfection. The injera has the perfect texture. Spicy but not too spicy.
