“Exceptionally accommodating, great food, and great service! They were able to host a spur of the whim table of 12 despite being busy with smiles on their faces and they food came out promptly and was excellent. We would not hesitate to come back if in Omaha.“
“I've been told to go to J Gilberts for years now. Very happy I finally had the chance. I loved the prix fixe menu options. The wedge salad was amazing along with my prime strip. Cooked to perfection and crazy flavorful. Finished with a delicious creme brulee. I flipped a coin for my starter cocktail and would definitely try the smoked old fashioned next time.“
“What a fun addition to Downtown Omaha! Memoir is hip, modern, and swanky all wrapped into one gorgeous restaurant. Even better than the design and decorations is their food. With a diverse and sophisticated menu everything from drinks to appetizers to entrees and beyond is delicious. The Memoir Dip au Jus was tender delicious and quite possibly the best one we have had. Their pasta and potatoes puffs were excellent and full of flavor. You cannot go wrong with anything you choose. Our waitress, Tammy, was excellent and quick to give us some great recommendations. All the staff was delightful and made us feel welcomed! I had heard that this is some of the best food in Omaha and I couldn't agree more!“
“Mushroom bake and cheesecake were outstanding. Paid over $100 for a bone in ribeye and it was raw in the middle portion near the bone. Not sure if it's because they only broil their steaks and can't get the interior warm before the outside burns but I expected better preparation for the cost. Still a good cut of meat.“
“One of our Omaha favorite spots! We love the four course menu but occasionally enjoy the 6 course Chef's tasting menu. I had the olive tamponade and my husband had Maine oysters as part of the $8 anniversary menu. I then had the shrimp risotto, cauliflower soup, scallops and chocolate creme brûlée! My husband had the hot Korean chicken appetizer and chicken breast while having the same soup and dessert as me. Chef Anthony never disappoints! Great dinner with terrific service from James!“
“Had asked for some recommendations on the best wings in town and was told to check it out here. Amazingly enough, they were correct and the wings were amazing. The fries were some of the best we have had in some time. Save your money and don't do the lettuce wraps as they had no favoring along with little to no chicken in them. It was a busy night and with one large table, you couldn't hear anything when they were talking, but thankfully, as soon as they left, we could talk without screaming at each other. Sadly, our server didn't appear to be happy with our table as she continued to check on the table next to ours and completely forgot about us until it was time to give us the check. The other younger server not only brought us out our food but also got us refills as our lady didn't came back. Will be back and make sure we are in the other servers table next time.“
“Dairy Chef has the best soft serve I have ever had in my life. I love getting a chocolate shake with fresh strawberries (my go to) and their food is also amazing! They have great burgers, chicken strips, popcorn chicken, yummy tots, and fries. I have never craved ice cream like I crave Dairy Chef.“
“Came here for my birthday and I can’t say enough good things. Our server was very friendly and let us take our time. She was very attentive and made sure our glasses were always full. The food was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. While it was pricey i would say well worth “
“I've been trying to find a decent weekend breakfast spot and it's been really mediocre at the last several places I've tried. There was a large birthday party happening when I got here but the staff were very friendly, accommodating, and didn't forget about the guy eating by himself in the back corner while it was super busy. I will be recommending this place and bringing people to come eat with me here. I live up north and was not expecting this to be my new place but not only do I live close but they did a great job. 10/10 would recommend.“
“The wife and I happened upon Taste of Heaven on base, and we couldn't be happier with the food and service. The catfish was delicious and the Jamaican pulled pork was outstanding. Do yourselves a favor and find their truck and chow down!“
“Food tasted great. Had the patty melt and the poutine fries with cheese curds and beef gravy. Oh my. Good stuff. Forgot to take pictures. Cool little joint. You'll have to pay for parking out front. No biggie 1-2$ depending on how long you plan to be. Food was a little pricy but hey it was GOOD.“
“I came into The Matt for lunch last week and was visiting from out of town. I had been once before about 6 years ago and it was just as good as I remembered! I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich with fries and an ice-cold beer. The bartender was friendly and welcoming and I hope to be able to visit again soon. Thank you!“
“I recently visited Jackson Street Tavern and had a generally positive experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable, providing a pleasant dining environment. I decided to try the Nebraska burger, and it was cooked to perfection, although it was slightly undercooked from medium well. Despite this, I found the overall taste and quality of the burger to be satisfying. The service provided by Katie was commendable. She was attentive and efficient in her duties. However, I did encounter a slight issue when expressing my feedback to her. It seemed that she was in a rush and didn't have much time to listen to my comments. She quickly ended the conversation and wished me a good day while I was still speaking.Overall, my experience at Jackson Street Tavern was positive, with tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere. While the service from Katie was efficient, there was a minor issue with attentiveness when I was providing feedback.“
“The food is always homey, fresh and delicious! Erica was an excellent server who filled our coffee the minute it got low. It’s a diner so not fancy but the best omelets around! And get yourself a cinnamon roll. Just do it.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome no questionsWheelchair accessibility: Completely flat“
“THIS is a Cafe! The definition of the American classic. Great food served quickly and efficiently. All the dishes you expect at a very pleasant price.I will return often. Do your self a favor and stop in. You will realize the national chains are so inferior to a properly run local restaurant. AJ's deserves its 5 “
“This was my first time trying Sage and I was absolutely blown away by the 9-course meal!! The service was excellent and personable, yet still the stand-offish vibe you would expect at a fine dining establishment. Daniel our server did an excellent job, as did the other staff we interacted with. Each course tasted great, but our tables' favorites were the bread with a green-colored butter spread. scallop, king mushrooms, and lemon truffle desserts. If I came back during this menu I would order more of these a la cart! But if I come another time I will absolutely go for another 9 courses as this was an amazing experience to try so many new and delicious food pairings. I love the fact that your tips go toward the students' dining/learning experiences. Also love that the chefs names are featured in their menu! Such a unique and heart warming dinner. We arrived a little after 7:30 and left just before 10. We weren't waiting very long on any of the food, but a 9-course dinner takes time! 100% worth the cost. I will keep this place in mind for any future special occasions!“
“We went on Friday, the 22nd of March. We did not have a reservation but it wasn't yet too crowded, so we got right in. Roberto was the person that took care of us. He was great. We had a slight issue with the kitchen and our order and it got delayed. We were enjoying ourselves and having conversation so we didn't mind too much. Roberto was annoyed and he kept stopping by to keep us up to date. It seems that somehow our order was lost or misplaced or something so instead of a 10-15 minute wait, it ended up being almost an hour. Amy, one of the managers, came by and told us she was sorry for what happened and she took care of our entire dinner. That was so wonderful. I am not the type to get upset and we still had a great time. And Roberto got a good tip as he cared and did all he could. My wife got the salmon and I had the special of prime rib. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed it. Can't miss with the new location either. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely go back!“
“This place is a gem! Our family enjoyed breakfast together at the Keystone Kafe. Deb was so friendly and gracious to work with. The food was delicious (& fast!) and the service was excellent. A perfect place for a home cooked breakfast!“
“The owner Jimi is there all of the time and takes pride in his restaurant. I even saw him cleaning the men’s bathroom once, how often do you see a restaurant owner do that? His staff is very loyal and there is a ver low turnover rate, which can’t be said for many places. Also, the food is excellent and there is something for everyone.“
“The staff, especially Shadow up at karaoke, kills it, every single weekend. They’re friendly, personal, and work extremely hard to make everyone feel welcomed! Shadow puts his personal touch to make everyone brave enough to sing feel welcome and backed up. I’ve never have felt as comfortable singing in a bar as when he’s the DJ.“
“Love the Thai veggie salad here. The Mantra burger is not a slouch either, have it with the homemade chips. We have been here several times and only one time has it been inconsistent. The special menu has a pork chop that my husband likes, with raspberry sauce. The menu does not show a blueberry lemon layered cake, that is absolutely delicious so ask that! Always able to provide the Smokey drinks that is a craving of my bff..“
“What a great find! A buddy and I ate breakfast at Bailey’s recently and it was fantastic. The wait staff was more than pleasant, the food was homemade and the meats were all smoked in-house. We will return. I’m now a determined missionary for Bailey’s!“
“We made reservations and came in for a Valentine's dinner. We both had the Velvet Chicken. The chicken itself was okay, though I had a couple of chewy, fatty pieces on the edge of my chicken. The pasta was pretty flavorless, even after we added salt and pepper. We were both quite disappointed in the lack of flavor from a dish that sounded amazing. The tiny slices of bread were really good, though it would have been nice to have more than 5 slices when the pieces are as small as they were. The service was great!“
“So I had the pleasure of eating at Charleston’s Restaurant last night on dodge st. and let me tell you, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’m from Lincoln and I don’t go to nice restaurants in Omaha often but I was floored. The atmosphere, service, and food was all incredibly professional. My boyfriend took me out and I had a lemon drop cocktail which was amazing along with the Dynamite Shrimp Salad and Shrimp Cargot which we shared. Both were amazing, but the Shrimp Cargot really stood out. My boyfriend ordered the Walt’s Champagne Chicken Salad with clam chowder and I had Short Smoked Salmon with a caesar salad. That was thee best salmon I have ever had hands down, and I order salmon whenever I have the option to when going out. We finished with their carrot cake, which was astonishing. I will without a doubt be going back.Aside from the food I would like to mention that they have an open kitchen which appears to be extraordinarily clean and organized. As someone who works in a kitchen, I was very impressed. Those cooks look like they know what they are doing and they seem to actually CARE about their craft. So much respect for them.Very pleased with my time there, left feeling FULL but not in a way that made me feel gross afterwards. I wish there were more places like this in Lincoln. Huge shout out to the staff, I cannot think of a single thing to complain about.“
“The ambiance of the establishment was exceptionally inviting, characterized by a serene and relaxed atmosphere that I greatly appreciated. The presence of pool tables added a unique and enjoyable dimension to the overall experience. Furthermore, the staff members were notably amicable and welcoming, contributing positively to our visit. The quality of the copy was outstanding, enhancing the ambiance and ensuring a memorable visit. This combination of a congenial environment, engaging activities, and stellar service underscores the establishment's commitment to providing an enjoyable and high-quality experience for its guests.“
“More than just a waiting room amenity, this restaurant is legit and stands on its own as a destination. The servers are friendly and justifiably proud of their product. Seating was ample. Parking is available just outside the dealership entrance (Google Maps will get you there, and yes, the cafe is inside the Gregg Young Chevrolet dealership). Maybe add a couple more TVs to complete the product.“
“This is definitely one of my favorite places! The customer service is amazing and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are home with the family. John’s customer service is amazing! He always assists me with my takeout orders and ensures that everything is good to go.Vegetarian options: You can customize your order for vegetarian options.“
“My wife and I went to dinner for her birthday and really enjoyed the chef tasting experience paired w/wine. The food was exquisite, artistic and very flavorful! The wine pairing was an added treat to our tastebuds. The staff is very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Memories will be made here! Very happy to have ours.“
“Fairly versatile menu . Appetizers Soups salads sandwiches burgers pizza enchiladas. Our server was very accommodating, taking time to explain things and listening to our needs. The atmosphere was much nicer than I expected as far as decor, but I didn't feel out of place. I love the little lamps and small fresh flowers on the table. Dad had the walleye special with Cole slaw and sautéed red potatoes. He ate it all and loved it. I had the chicken spinach and artichoke pizza. Cut party style and very thin crust but tasty. Our guests had the pork tenderloin with friends and the steak enchilada. She did not care for the fries but the tenderloin was good. The enchilada was favorable but larger than expected. All in all we will be back and am anxious to try other items on the menu. Oh and the margaritas were fantastic! Table of four was $200 with tip but we had 5 margaritas at $11 each a $30 pizza and spinach artichoke appetizer“
“Geno's is definitely one of the best sports bars in the area and the biggest reason is their food. Much better than what you get in most area bars, along with ice cold beer and friendly service. With a lot of choices in West O, this has become our "go to" spot!! Check it out! You'll be glad you did!“
“Glad to have found this breakfast spot. Housed in a mid century meets diner decor it has a nice mix of counter and booth seating. The wait staff is attentive and efficient at keeping the orders coming while keeping your coffee filled. The food is great - we've been in a couple of times now and everything has been delicious and enough for a sizable take home box. If you enjoy quality food in an authentic locally owned setting, this is something to try.“
“We went and I was thrilled they had real maple syrup as an option. I was dismayed that it was an extra cost and actually didn’t coat all my pancake, so I would have needed two bottles. The chicken sausage was okay, not my favourite. But the over hard eggs and pancakes were delicious. My husband got sausage & gravy and while it was good, it wasn’t something he said he would get again. Something was just off.My step son got a seasonal sandwich that he really liked. The service was outstanding.I noted the bathroom had the soap dispenser up so high someone in a wheelchair would have difficulty reaching.Definitely recommend as usually the food and service are solid.Vegetarian options: With breakfast options, it leans vegetarian friendly. I didn’t see anything that was labeled vegan though.Dietary restrictions: I do think the menu could be presented in a way to make the vegetarian options more noticeable. Plus, I don’t see much that was GF. They did have other options for meat sausage like chicken and turkey sausage, so if you don’t eat pork, that is helpful. (Again, a way to make that more of a feature would be great).Parking: The strip mall has a lot of parking.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly and kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is in a newer building and they’ve taken steps in order to be wheelchair accessible. However, I took pictures of the soap dispensers and they are up so high, that someone in a wheelchair would have difficulty reaching (this isn’t unusual because people rarely sit in a chair to see where placement of things should be).“
“Really great place! Ordered the Havanna Pizza which they hooked it up with a bunch of fresh jalapeños, which a love! Delicious. Tyler, the bartender was great and super chill dude, plated great music and did great behind the bar. Highly recommend if you're laid back and not boujee as f. Great vibe.“
“I placed an order for pickup. The food is top notch, no complaints, but the delivery was a failure. I've been waiting for my order for a very long time. Sometimes I go to a restaurant, but there was no such problem when ordering inside.“
“Great home made breakfasts and lunch. Friendly staff and the ambience is really fun. It is situated in a quiet South Omaha neighborhood. It sits in an old drug store and extends into a next door building that was once a theater, very cool. Burgers naturally are good. Home made corned beef hash is worth a trip across town. Ask for Orsi's toast with your breakfast. Highly recommended.“
“An Omaha classic that never disappoints. Cocktails are generous in size and excellent quality priced well below what other restaurants charge. Specials are always a nice addition to the regular menu. We always enjoy their sandwiches and burgers. The cozy interior is a great escape anytime, but especially in the cool weather.“
“Oof, I would literally spend all of my money here if I could! The food is soooo good, I cannot even describe how good the cheeseballs are. And the wings with the candied bourbon sauce is my favorite! My son and I have been eating here once every 2 weeks for the past couple of months and I just cannot get enough!“
“The service was amazing. There were nine in our party and none of us had eaten here so it took a while to order but the person taking our order (at the counter) answered our questions and patiently waited for each of us to order. There was no one eating there when we first arrived around 9:15am but there was a wait by the time we left. There are not too many seats to dine in. I recommend the French toast that came with a nut butter syrup and some honey. The frittata with a side salad was so big that only half was eaten but maybe it was because the coffee cake that was also ordered was gone before the frittata came out. The chili tasted good and is also recommended. The meatloaf sandwich wasn't well liked. One said it tasted burnt and another said it was dry. The sweet potato and lentil sandwich was different. I don't think I'll get it again since I don't love lentils but I do recommend it if you like sweet potatoes and lentils. They do have a kids menu of grilled cheese and a few other items. One of the kids ordered a grilled cheese and the tomato soup from the regular menu but only the grilled cheese sandwich was brought out so I am not sure if the soup was missing or if he thought we wanted a kids grilled cheese (we mentioned we ordered the grilled cheese and soup so they brought out a cup of soup). Either way the soup and the sandwich were good. The vanilla creme soda and the White Elm Czech Pilsner were good that we almost asked for another to go. There was lots of street parking around when we left. We paid $2 for two hours of parking but one hour is probably enough. We interacted with several of the staff and they were all very pleasant. I love how the owners support local farmers too.“
“The blueberry poundcake is great, it's not too sweet and that really allows the blueberries come through naturally.Context: I've been coming here for 5+ years. The only times I don't like being here is right before showtimes at the Orpheum (check current shows to avoid the rush). They're not lacking for customers, and they have always, in my experience, delivered quality food and drinks. Their rotating menu selection is always a joy to look forward to.If you want to experience it more intimately/get a feel for it, go at around 5pm, on Sunday, or right after a showtime starts at the Orpheum.(Photos are of the mbti menu, the blueberry poundcake, and the tres leches.)“
“Extremely long wait for calling ahead to reserve a spot it was a busy Saturday evening. We did get a free coupon for an appetizer as well as several apologies from the manager for the wait. Food was delicious would recommend just maybe not on a Saturday night ??“
“New to this side of town, bartender at good life told me to check out the French dip down at Shevy's. Was really easy to get to, all the regulars sitting at the bar were pretty friendly, the bartenders are all smoke shows and the french dip was fantastic. Order two, you'll wish you did.“
“It was super busy when we went in, but they were handling it pretty well. Two of us got the wrong order, but we're not the type of people to fret about that. She did give us an additional meal for free, though, so that was really nice. Food and drinks were great - very creative menu. I'd definitely go back to try something new.“
“Bavarian pretzels - awesome. Garlic fries were very good. Custom built smash burger and patty was overcooked beyond recognition. It was dry and tasteless which was a shame since my dining experience was quite nice otherwise.Parking: Small lot behind venue, not much room to maneuver. Tonight parking lot was blocked off and a special event tent took up much of the space.“
“We stopped in late on Sunday due to travel delays. Our hostess Ingrid was wonderful! She made us feel welcome and had menu suggestions. We ordered off the happy hour menu as we were late getting in and everything was hot and delicious from the Korean Cauliflower, Mac & cheese bites to the siracha chicken strips. We definitely plan on returning when we have more time to enjoy items off the main menu. Great location and service.“
“THAT was good! Any time we’re craving a great, traditional breakfast, First Watch is an excellent choice. Pictured here is the mouth watering trifecta that came with a plate sized pancake, two eggs over easy and thick cut bacon. Mmmm! All for $12.99 I believe. Good stuff… tummy growling yet? ??“
“Went to IBG to play Buzztime Trivia. Place was packed and quickly found out why. The service was outstanding even with how busy the grill was and the food was also excellent with very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend trying if you are in the area.“
“This is a great place to eat with great food and reasonable prices the have a daily special everyday, and everything I have had there is top notch, great barbecue pork sandwiches, great fries, great tacos, great chicken fried steak, great mashed potatoes, It’s like home cooking at moms house, if your mom was a great cook,Definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner, and they have Lemoncello cake if you have never had it, your going to want to try it, sooooo good,The Waite staff is awesome, it’s a restaurant hiding itself inside a bar, great place to get great home cooked meals.“
“Today, I had the distinct pleasure of dining at this venue accompanied by my daughter. Our experience was notably enhanced by the staff's remarkable ability to engage with her, seamlessly making her feel like an integral part of our dining journey. The gastronomic offerings were outstanding, with the unique "million dollar bacon" emerging as a delightful highlight of our meal. The exceptional service, coupled with the culinary excellence, contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience. The attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism demonstrated by the staff were commendable, ensuring that our dining experience was not only enjoyable but also unforgettable.“
“I will certainly continue to return to this establishment. The culinary offerings were impressive, particularly the chicken nachos, queso fries, and sweet Oklahoma burger, which exceeded my expectations. I also enjoyed three cocktails, including a cherry limeade (my favorite), a frozen huskerita that was delightful and leaned towards the sweeter side, making it an excellent choice for those with a preference for sugary drinks. I will definitely come back with family and friends. 10/10 recommendation the service was absolutely fantastic as well!“
“This place is a two decade, staple for my wife and I. Although we haven’t lived in Omaha for over eight years, we return and enjoy this place whenever possible. Last night we had another incredible and memorable meal here with great service in the low light, low ceiling, Intimate atmosphere of this nooked-in French-influenced restaurant. Every portion of our meal was amazing, and it may seem unfair to say, but although we spent quite a bit of money on this meal, the six dollar bread service might’ve been the best part of the whole thing. The goat, fat, infused, perfectly crusted and warm bread withsalted butter would push me right into a diabetic coma if it was more relatively available. The Wagyu beef with their famous brandy peppercorn sauce remains one of the best steaks for my pallet anywhere in the country. We will continue to return.“
