“What can I say, this place is at the top of the food chain for Council Bluffs, the bartenders all kill it. Henry and Caleb are great guys But let's be honest Kelsi is the star of the show for most. She never disappoints. :) Touchtunes and a heck of a crowd. If want a place to have a good time, you found it.“
“Tried this bar last weekend! I'm from Omaha, and the drive was so worth it! The Mile Away had great service from the moment we walked in until we walked out the door! We tried the tachos appetizer and it was SO YUMMY! Food was great and we had a nice time hanging out, drinking beer, and watching wrestling! Also, have heard they host some cool events that I am excited to go back for! 10/10 recommend“
“Seven One Two . We can't rate them high enough. Food, service and overall quality are excellent. Details below. To start off, I'm in a wheelchair. Most places that are accessible will watch my wife struggle to get through the door or a customer will help. Not the case here. My wife was about to grab for the door and one of the staff was right there, with a smile. We were seated immediately, out of the way, but not hidden in the corner. Our server, Sheree, was awesome. She answered our questions and explained the specials. She returned appropriately fast to take our order. Being about 2/3 full, I was expecting a bit of a wait, but our drinks were brought out quickly. The food is excellent. Expect it to be what the menu says it will be, not what you want or think it might be. We had the crab cakes for our appetizer. It had a good amount of crab and not all bread crumbs. My wife had the peach flatbread. Exactly what the menu said it would be and delicious. I had the beef stroganoff. After a little hiccup, it was as ordered and very yummy. We were disappointed that we didn't have room for a dessert, but we will make sure to leave room in the future. When we were leaving, 2 staff members were headed to open the door for us. Checking out their Facebook page, we will be back for the wine and flatbread special soon.“
“We've now been here twice. The food was really good both times. The service was friendly both times, but we did have to flag down a waitress both times also. The first time, just because we needed the check and the second time because they forgot one of the sides. All-in-all, I would recommend, and we are planning to return ourselves.“
“My husband and I have known & are good friends with Ernie & Kathy for over 15 years and am happy to say that I'm now employed by them! They are the neatest & nicest couple you could ever know! Also, love all of the awesome improvements they've made and continue to do to the Saloon! Looks great!! Not to mention the friendly clientele! A very clean & nice neighborhood bar! Stop in and check it out!“
“Kickers is very friendly and fun. The Staff & Owner are Wonderful!! They have the best food and I'm telling you there's no way you can complain about price forsure. Check out their menu.. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. They are the best. Whether it's food, fun, karoke it's a great place.“
“Love this bar! They were awesome with the new mask mandate and even though not everyone is happy about it, they kept everyone in compliance. Bar tender Tim was attentive and walked around making sure everyone was taken care of. Would recommend to anyone“
“Went for the "Painting Party" for the 1st time. Welcome & friendly atmosphere. Drink prices were good. Didn't order any food but the food I saw looked delicious!Bartender was friendly- owner was there and seemed real nice. I would definitely go back for drinks! Looks like a great neighborhood bar to hang out in!“
“Alright, this is about as chill an atmosphere as you can get. Inside, it is similar to a cracker barrel but way toned down. Kinda like if your grandma n grandpa had a barn they built a kitchen and bar in. The drinking situation is pretty slim because they are limited to a couple little vertical coolers. So you usual items you would find in can form. The food is pretty dang good. Big ole pork tenderloin, fries were great. Lots of condiments to dress up your meal the way you want. The staff is pretty much the owners and they are very genuine and nice people. This reminds me of finding a lil bar out in the middle of nowhere and just being able to sit back, relax, and have some good food. Also, they have books for kids and outdoor area to sit or play, heck even an atari on a TV in the corner for fun.“
“I am not sure how this place is for a bar, although it looked like a fun crowd on even a week night. However I do love this place because it is one of the few, scratch that, the only BAR AND GAS STATION that I have ever seen. You can get cheaper fuel here than anywhere else in the area. You just need to pay cash inside.I think that is a perfectly good reason to check the place out. It is something everyone should see.“
“We've been participating in group bike rides starting and ending at Railway Inn on Wednesdays since September. The proximity to the FIRST AVE bike trail can't be beat and its convenient location in Council Bluffs is a great stopping point for almost any bike ride. I really enjoy their veggie burger and LOVE how you can swap any of their creative burgers for a veggie burger. Tom is a very attentive bartender/server. We will be back again and again! Thanks Railway Inn for being so bike friendly!“
“This place is chill!! The patrons as well as bar staff r friendly and welcoming! I'm just the designated driver, I don't drink and they still treated me with just as much respect as they show someone pouring money into their establishment!!Dawn is the best bartender you could have on any given day!!!“
“My friend and I went here this past weekend for a couple drinks and it was a good experience. There weren't a lot of people here and the downstairs area was desolate. The bar tender was friendly. The drinks were good. The outside, back area was nice too.All in all, it was a good bar that I would go back to.“
