“It says on Rotellas website “Our commitment to the customer will never waver” and that couldn’t be more true. Shout out to Julie who answers the phone for bread orders as well as any questions you may have. She was polite and patient with hearing me out when I was trying to find a specific kind of bread. I also want to give a shout out to Jim Rotella. Same positive attitude as Julie and after I told him what I was looking for he said he would find out what he could for me and that he would call me back in a few minutes. With a business like Rotellas I’m sure they’re busy, so I wasn’t expecting a call right away (which was okay with me). Sure enough Jim calls me back within a few minutes. Those two went above and beyond for me. Also shoutout to the ladies I always see working in the retail store. They’re always willing to help and I have never had a bad experience from there. As someone that’s new to the food truck business I’m glad they’re the ones I buy my bread from.“

“We loved the selection of cakes, cookies and pastries. It is tight around the food cases that are self serve. There was a group of people when we went and it was difficult to get around them. We got ours to go and the group was waiting on coffees and was blocking the way to get to the door. It is a tight area to move around when people loiter.“

The cake looked exactly like the design we discussed and tasted fresh, moist, and not overly sweet. Everyone at the party kept asking where it came from. The staff was friendly and patient while helping me choose flavors, even though I changed my mind a couple times. The only small thing was that pickup took a few extra minutes than expected, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall, a really good experience and I'd definitely order from them again.“

I picked up a coffee at Dundee Double Shot (favorite coffee in town) and took a drive through Country Club area (favorite spot in Omaha to feed my passion for local historical neighborhoods). I don’t commonly have a sweet tooth, but with the coffee I thought I’d see if Benson had a bakery (I’m dating myself but I remember the original one that was there for decades). No bakeries, but I found this one back in Dundee on Google. Stopped in and got a strawberry and a chocolate pastry for the road, per Abby’s suggestion. On Google they had hours til 5, but may have been a different location, so very sorry if I was last minute! Noticed here it says 3. Abby was GREAT! But my eyes were larger than my stomach. I ended up consuming both within a short time (woah!) Fantastic! Will definitely be back with the wife! Had to get out of the car to disperse of the powdered sugar on my hoody. Well worth it! Love the little independent shops!“

“We have been ordering our cakes from here for close to 40 years with a 10 year gap when we lived in St. Louis. We haven’t found a bakery close to the consistent quality, moistness & superb taste. All cakes are so delicious, our favorite is the basic white, but all are great. We got our first 2 from the new location in Bel Air Plaza & they just as delicious as ever & with the same smiling happy attentive staff. Great cake & service as always.
