The new space is beautiful. We usually go to the location in Dundee but it's closed on Mondays so we went to the new location. Loved the decor on the walls, the options of pastries and bread, and they gelato as well. We ended up getting sandwiches to go and they were delicious. We had sort of a long wait to get sandwiches to go but a part from that it was a decent experience.
I just love this bakery! Each time I go, regardless of which location, I can count on top quality where the baked goods are concerned. I've tried the chocolate croissant, plain croissant, and French silk danish (think French silk pie filling in a danish). For more sustenance, the quiche Lorraine, the turkey avocado sandwich, and Cuban sandwich have all been sampled and are worth getting again. I'm always delighted with whatever we get at Le Quartier! The almond chocolate croissants are reliably excellent. The ham and cheese croissants are so flavorful and make a perfect breakfast treat. I've been a fan of the Hungarian mushroom soup for a long time, and just tried the beef burgundy this week. wow, was it delicious! perfect cozy dish on a snowy day!
