“My partner and I went there on a date night a few months back.Cibo Vino is kinda mid, in my opinion. It relies on its wine selection and location to appeal to people, and the food kinda falls short. Lemme tell you why. It’s on one of the busier intersections in the Old Market, just across the street from Upstream and La Buvette. The ambience is lovely. Low, intimate lighting with a lot of really cool artwork and decor. The bar is beautifully designed, and our bartender was cool.Good selection of wine, and not too terribly priced if you’re getting it by the glass.Food and plating, however, was what made it mid.For a restaurant in a prime location serving food that’s anywhere from 25-35 bucks a plate, you’d expect some diversity in the flatware with a little bit of artful plating. Every dish came out on the same size plate, tossed onto the middle of it with no real thought. We got two slices of their rosemary focaccia for an appetizer, and it tasted like they had thrown a bunch of rosemary onto the fire before they grilled it. The flavor of rosemary was almost overpowering, bordering on bitter. Good texture and crunch, but Jesus was it herby. We got their bucatini amatriciana to split as well, and here is where the ‘real’ review of their food begins. While the ingredients of the dish were all there, they weren’t really combined. The pasta was cooked well, but there was next to no starch in the actual pasta. This tells me one thing: cheap pasta. It felt as if they’re just ordering large quantities of pasta from Sysco, par cooking it before service, then reheating in boiling water to sell. As a result, the ingredients of the sauce; the tomatoes, the guanciale, and the pecorino cheese, didn’t really have anything to bond them together. The basis of flavor was there, but the execution and prep work kinda blew it. Could use more salt, as well. For mains, we had the lemon chicken piccata and the hunter’s chicken cacciatore.Chicken piccata was flavorful and cooked well. The lemon was bright and delicious, but the sauce had slightly split. This tells me it was either unattended to on the line, or it cooled down while waiting to be brought to the table. However, my issue with the pasta arises once more. It felt like the penne it was served with was par cooked prior to service, reheated, and dumped onto a plate with the piccata coming off of sauté and on top of it all. The lack of starch was apparent. The pasta and sauce weren’t married very effectively, and it felt like I had to dip the pasta in the sauce to get an effective bite. Flavors were good -fantastic even- but the execution is where it lacks.Cacciatore was delicious. Flavor was fantastic, and the chicken was juicy and tender. HOWEVER, the sauce was missing something. The flavors were there, but the texture fell short. The mushrooms were canned, or at least it felt like they were. Now, I understand it is impossible to acquire fresh porcini mushrooms year round, but this is where you have to ADAPT. If porcinis aren’t available, switch to a fresh mushroom you can get quickly. Cremini would be fine, and those things can grow year round indoors. The mushroom gravy was tasty, if a bit lacking in salt. But the real star of the show was the polenta. It was blended beautifully with the pecorino, and was light, creamy, and fluffy. Good stuff.Dessert was the panna cotta. No complaints. Tasty and delicious.Overall, I have one main criticism for Cibo Vino:Make your own pasta. The experience was lovely, but I can tell that the main focus of the restaurant is shifted towards the wine, considering the chef was sitting two tables over speaking to a pair of sommeliers/wine dealers(?) as opposed to running expo. The food feels like an afterthought. Like someone decided to open a wine bar but said: “I need to serve food too!” The menu is classic Italian pasta fare, and somehow, they’ve managed to just barely miss the mark.I will say again; Cibo Vino, make your own damn pasta.“
“We walked in at just the right time, as everyone else filed in behind us and goodness they just kept coming. We got the bangers and mash which we loved and the dragon wrap which I wasn’t a fan of. I thought the dragon wrap was very sweet and would not get it again. But everything else we loved. It is mostly family style tables which my kids thought was funny that other families sat with us.“
“Wow! What a great meal. We came in close to closing time but they were very gracious to feed us and let us stay. The bread was great and not overtoasted. They were very friendly with us and we ate well. We even shared the info with the other team families! This is a must stop place for lunch!“
“Excellent options, good price, nice staff. This stuff tastes really good and is at a great price point and way better than quiznos or subway. Definitely recommend giving these guys a try; my personal favorite is the chipotle chicken with hot oil and olives. They have a bunch of vegetarian friendly options too.“
“We've ordered take out a couple times now. So far the do not disappoint. Great sandwiches, soups, salad, and bread. So far the Italian sandwich and chop Italian salad are my favorite of the "pick 2".Also some really tasty chocolate chip cookies! Definitely grabbing a cup of milk to go with these tasty treats.Haven't gotten time to dine in yet but it looks cute.“
“Decided to do a pizza run and try a few of Omaha's offerings. Here, I would recommend the bianco. 4.25 stars That was the only one I had.... and I enjoyed it. It's got a nice crispy crust. My friend thought too much cornmeal, but I was ok with it.I gave Lyles a 5 star because we ended up getting a discount on ours, and with it, the price for the pizza was a good deal. They have a parking lot next to the building which is nice, but it was still pretty packed.Included a video of me grabbing a piece to show size“
“Counter staff was incredibly helpful and explained things. It was great to sample the sauce combos we decided on, and they recommended some delicious side items as well. Top notch experience for a first visit: we'll be back!(And if managers read this, our visit was 2:30 on 12/12/23. Give that staffer a bonus!)“
“This has quickly become our favorite place for pizza and wings. We just joined the VIP club as a result :) We've had several of their specialty pizzas and all have been great. The cream cheese pizza sauce is unique, the toppings are huge, everything has always tasted fresh and has a "homemade" feel to it.The wings... so I like a good hot wing. Their hot is HOT. Mild is like a medium in my opinion. The spicy BBQ, one of my faves, is either spicy or BAM YOU BETTER GRAB A DRINK.We ridiculously over-order here because we love the leftovers. That's high praise ???“
“I went there yesterday when we couldn't get into the Taphouse for lunch with a group of colleagues. It was so good I went back today. Very high quality food, and big portions, delicious. My only suggestion is maybe the name/branding isn't great - I work across the street and walked by many times and just thought it was a cafeteria-style place where I was going to get mashed potatoes, green beans, etc. Had no idea is was a quality 'bowl' place! Very clean inside and friendly too; but can't say it has atmosphere though.“
“Great place for date night or parties of 12 or more. Very clean, comfortable and modern. Check out entire menu, many offerings other than sushi. Friend had baked salmon & said it was delicious. Never had a bad meal at Ponzu and my wife really likes their specialty cocktails. Every restaurant owned and operated by the DiPrima Family is a solid choice. Jimi D's in Aksarben Village and Jackson Street Tavern in the Old Market are awesome as well. Enjoy!“
“You know the food is going to be incredible when the owner is standing behind the counter when you walk in. Nina was patient and gave me a taste of her two sauces when I was indecisive about which to choose. I went for the fufu and it was everything I imagined. Soft, fluffy and slightly chewy. The spinach sauce was thick and robust, completed with the succulent lamb. 10/10. The high protein steak bowl was the other dish we tried. The steak was tender and flavorous. The peanut sauce is rich and comforting. 10/10. Nina’s flavored lemonades are unique and tasty, as might be expected. I could eat her food every single day. We were so full but couldn’t stop eating. Hopefully the company expands to Lincoln ;) Thank you so much, Nina!!“
“I was awful about taking pictures but that’s because we gobbled everything down so fast. Hearty, well seasoned, it felt like I was eating in someone’s home. It was phenominal and we will be coming here much more frequently. Service was fast and our food got to us fast. The mantu and sambusas are MUST HAVES and my husband loved the lulya kabob (I didn’t get a picture because I was eating and by the time I finished, he had eaten it all.)The jasmine tea I got was spectacular. Truly I cannot rave enough. Please try them out if you’ve never had central Asian cuisine!“
“My husband and I stopped by here while visiting Omaha. I was absolutely impressed by the service from our waitress Jennifer, inviting atmosphere and striking yet flavorful food. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch and will definitely be back for more during my next trip.Vegetarian options: Veggies skyscraper“
“This is our favorite, quick, inexpensive, Mexican place. The street tacos are wonderful. Homemade salsa is always good. Plus, they have both four and corn chips or a mix! Yum! We've always had good service at Corner Kick, as well! Keep up the great work!“
“I love the care in which these folks created this extra special healthy place. Those who work here, especially the manager, take their time in fixing just the right combination of fresh veggies and fresh fruit. For my family, this became a quick favorite spot. The smoothies-so yummy; the salads-what a perfect mix; and the grain bowls-everything I’ve tried here is perfectly tasty and fits my healthy lifestyle. Omaha is so fortunate to have Crisp & Green. Bravo and Thank You So very much.“
“My wife and I had a "date night" without kids. Our wait was actually quicker than we were told! Sat at a booth, and our server greeted us immediately! Our food was great!!(as expected ?) Our server(wish I remembered her name) was absolutely amazing! Continued to check on us throughout our meal, laughed with us, made jokes... she seriously will be the reason we go back! I even said on our "review of the meal and service" that she absolutely needs a raise! I wish I knew her name!! Thank you so much for your kindness and how you made us feel on one of our only nights away!“
“Very friendly service. Employees look you in the eye smile and say thank you. The building is clean. Bathrooms are clean. Onion rings are delicious and a good value. The dipping sauce is also great, I believe it is their own Don and Millie's dipping sauce.A couple downsides are the restrooms have no paper towels and the door opens inwards, so take a napkin to the restroom with you to open up the door with and maybe dry your hands with. Also, heading west from the restaurant is very inconvenient. You can't make a left turn on to center from the restaurant, and you can't go around the block because the street is closed. I ended up going east on Center and making U-turn to head west.Maybe you can exit on to 108th if you go through the drive-thru, I never use the drive-thru.Parking: There are plenty of spots, but it can be difficult to enter and exit if busy“
“I came in on a Tuesday at noon. The crew working during this time was fantastic. You could tell they were extremely busy with pickups, deliveries, and walk ins. I had a couple modifications on my salad and everything was done perfectly and quickly. Thank you for the wonderful lunch!“
“Went through the drive thru. Employees were fast and friendly. I ordered the peppermint milkshake which was great and the 8 piece nuggets. My system could not handle the spices on the nuggets. After the 5 th nugget, I gave the rest to my friend.“
“First time here for a business trip. Wide selection and I ended up going to Blatt’s. I’ll probably try tacos next weekend. The front cashier was great with the henna tattoo. The burger was great and the fries were fresh. Seems like a happy place.“
“I highly recommend The Corner Kick for your party needs! We had my 50th birthday party here last night and it was wonderful! The room is large and you get your own bartender, private bathrooms and a separate entrance! We ordered the taco bar for our guests and it was great! You get 3 meats, chips, queso and salsa, all for a good price! It's just a great space at a great restaurant, 10/10! I posted my pics for reference, it even has multiple TV's and music options! ? “
“Had our first experience recently and it was fantastic! Food was great, service was friendly and engaging and the store was clean and had a nice feel to it. Tried the steak sandwich and soup, neither of which felt/tasted like fast casual. Will definitely be back!“
“I really wanted to love this place. The food is style over substance as in it is bland. We did notice the crowd average age was older, so maybe this caters to that palate. Presentation was stunning- it just didn'ttaste as good as it looked. Service was not great, though, that could be to being understaffed. I did overhear our waitstaff complain to the hotess to "quit seating peoole". We had reservations, but I'm not sure about anyone else. We waited 20 mins before our order was taken, then just about an hour for food. We sat at a cleared table for 20 minutes, never got our desert (she took it to go at the end), and had to ask our waitstaff for our check. He was at the table behind us, wrapping silverware or something. It wasn't awful, just wasn't great.“
“1/31/2017Brand new location. The food and service were good, but when the cashier separated the cup lids, he pressed each of them up against his shirt before putting them on the cups. Gross. If you want a vanilla cone, you're golden, but if you want chocolate (the best flavor), you'll need to go somewhere else.4/2/2022We've been going here for years now, and the staff has consistently been very good to us. They know our names, and we know theirs. Tonight, I stopped by at 9:20 PM, not realizing that the lobby closed at 9 PM. As I approached the door, another couple was leaving and let me in. As I entered the store, Lamarr (hope I spelled your name right) approached me to let me know that the lobby was closed. When he recognized me, he invited me to stay. I would have understood having to leave and hesitated to stay, but he made it clear that I was welcome. THANK YOU!As is my practice, after I've been going somewhere over an extended period of time, I leave a follow-up review and change my rating. This follow-up is long overdue, and I appreciate them making me feel special. Plus, 2 stars ? ?5/9/2022We walk in the staff, greats us by name, and get our orders to us in a timely fashion.A couple of weeks ago, while we were eating, we struck up a conversation with Susan. They were busy fulfilling a last-minute catering order for about 50 people. There was a Chick-fil-A pretty close to the group that ordered the food, but they wanted a days notice. I don't find that unusual because I can see why you'd want advance notice on that large of an order. But this Chick-fil-A went over and above to get food out to this group. I call that outstanding.7/9/2022Good night, good food, and mighty fine staff.9/3/2022The drive-through has completed its upgrade, and it looks nice. I'm sure the staff that stand outside will appreciate the cover.10/6/2022Got the 12 piece nuggets meal. The service was fast and friendly.4/21/2023Tonight, I had a free sandwich for filling out a survey. Yeah!“
“Went after the lunch crowd, so it was pretty empty. Thought this place would be ok, but I turned out to have had, one of the best “simple” sandwiches I’ve had. The bread was so soft, all the ingredients tasted and looked fresh. When I’m in town again, this definitely will be a staple. Delicious!“
“Enjoyed a nice meal with colleagues. Had only been to one other location and wasn’t very impressed that first time, but that was a long time ago. Not sure what had changed but this experience was much better! Very nice and reasonable salad bar, friendly service, plenty of seating during a busy lunch rush. Will definitely be back!“
“We ordered Spin via DoorDash and overall it was good, but one of the pizzas was a Spinach Garlic pizza, which has three toppings (spinach, garlic and pine nuts) and there were no pine nuts on it. How do you forget one of three ingredients?? The prosciutto pineapple pizza was good, as was the Greek salad. The minestrone soup was spicy but oddly flavorless. Would order again and hope for a little better attention to detail next time. Cookies were delish!“
“The salad bar was amazing! You get a large plate, not just some little sized plate like other places. There were so way more options and choices than I would expect from a "deli" salad bar, and so worth the every penny. My salad was massive. Very pleased!“
“My son & I were originally drawn there by a picture of a meatball sub that they no longer offer :(BUT we tried a couple of their pizzas. I had the cauliflower crush one with sausage and chicken. It was fantastic! Very friendly staff and clean restroom!“
“Love this place!! Flavorful, healthy, made to order food served by wonderful and kind women!! Very fast service with a smile and the cost is outstanding for the healthy portions you get. Thank you for being my new favorite go to place for a healthy meal on the go! So glad I found you!“
“Reminds me of Jason deli, Jason's just has a few different items to choose from. I had the Cuban and the tomatoe basil soup. Both were excellent. The ladies that made the meal and checked us out were so polite and helpful. We'll be going back.“
“I LOVE this place. They make absolutely wonderful food and have a lot of options for those who eat gluten free. Since I’ve discovered Timbercreek I’ve ordered a lot from them and it’s always hot and ready when I want it. I rarely give reviews but this place deserves five stars and more!“
“Things did get better after the rough experience when they first opened. It's definitely a sports bar so food isn't the main attraction here but appetizers are good and if you're looking for a neighborhood spot for bar food it scratches the itch“
“I was a skeptic but I have to admit it was very good. The breadsticks were great and the ravioli carbonara was full of flavor. My sweetie pie enjoyed her fettuccine with broccoli and said the salad was the best part. Strawberry cheesecake for dessert was the perfect way to finish. Sweetie pie and I are definitely coming back.“
“Vida Lounge and Restaurant in the Doubletree hotel is the best of the best! I had their harvest berry chicken salad and a margarita. It was probably the best salad I’ve had in a decade. The restaurant staff was superior. Omaha, you are lucky to have this restaurant.“
“Just picked up the tomato basil bisque, Italian club and avo Cobb salad. Salad was bigger than expected so I think I'll save it for lunch tomorrow (looks fantastic btw). Gave my 11yr old the toasty bread that comes with the soup and she loves it. The soup and sandwich are both amazing. Service was fast and friendly. Will be back!“
“Such good salads! My favorite salad, the Baja Moment, never disappoints. The ingredients are always very fresh and the flavors are great. I just wish the hours here were more extensive. If I'm eating at Flagship it's usually a weeknight meetup with friends, so I am sadly not able to eat here as much as I'd like.“
“I went here with a friend on a weekday morning. The city has spent a LOT of money building up the downtown area in the last few years. This business is just the cherry on top. It is connected/adjacent to the Luminarium. Fig is very open with high ceilings. There is great views from every vantage point of the riverfront and the nearby playground. I had a cortado to drink and then the daily quiche which featured chorizo with potatoes, cilantro, and onion. It came a small salad with vinaigrette. You order at the counter and then given a number. I don't know if it's required; but I then bussed my own dishes. The space is quite nice. I got the feeling that, probably because it's so new, that they are still working out some issues. I don't think I would make a trip specifically here since it's kind of out of the way. But, if I'm ever in the area, I would try it again.“
“I live outside of omaha so I usually have a planned itinerary when I come to town, and almost always regret that I have gone this long without trying this restaurant.Well I received $100 gift card from my employer, so why not make PITCH my planned visit this time. I decided to treat myself and a friend, and we each brought 1 of our children with us. 2 adults and 2 children.... none of us ordered excessively, in fact this really felt more like a small brunch in the afternoon (Linner?). I had a pizza that had carrots on it???? And some spiciness to it. I forget the name but it was FANTASTIC! My friend ordered some pasta which was also delicious. The kids did basic kid menu items and each had a rootbeer float. The adults did have age appropriate drinks as well. But for that, the bill came to just shy of $100. So I gave the $100 gift card and my friend added a generous amount of cash for the tip.IMHO-even though the food was FANTASTIC, the waitress was nice the 1st introduction and one other check-in, I do not feel it was worth that much.... I actually thought I would have enough left on the gift card to require a second (but not fully covered$$) visit..... really glad I tried it though.Parking: There is plenty of parking but it does not seem to be the most efficient footprint of parkingKid-friendliness: ROOTBEER FLOATS!!!!!(need I say more?)But they do have your basic kid menu option for the less adventurous palletsWheelchair accessibility: It's not a place that has tables crammed so close that handicap accessibility is hindered, and most of the tables have independent chairs that could be moved if wheelchair is needed for seating option. However, if I recall correctly, there were curbs from parking lot to sidewalk from multiple areas without wheelchair access. I believe it only had 1 right in front of restaurant entrance, so depending on parking àvailability (if not using a designated "handicap parking" space), you might have to maneuver through the parking lot sections instead of getting to nearest sidewalk.“
“Food and services is great! However, I left my sunglasses there and went back the next day. A young gentleman was helping me by looking in their office. The manager that was in the back called the young man over and told him to get my name/number and they will call me. I have not been called as of yet to either say they did not find it so that I can look elsewhere. I was saddened by this. ?“
“As this was our first experience, we didn't realize the quantity of food offered. We opted to have “light dinner”, meaning the cold station and chaffing pans of sides and the lobster bisque. We eat a lot of vegetables and fruits so this option was perfect.“
“I only order takeout lately, but they always get my order right and it's usually ready on time. The food is good. I get the Japanese Pan Noodles most of the time.Vegetarian options: I think the pan noodles are vegan. Then, you can add tofu.“
“Pretty good experience overall. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Sauce had chunks of tomato but there wasn't much other seasoning in there. Cheese on the pizza was melty. Crust had a crunchy outside, fluffy inside.Garlic knots were not what I was expecting but tasted good. They're little squares of dough with a little parmesan. Not the traditional knot shape you would expect.Fried ravioli was decent too.“
“My order came with tofu and shrimp. I did not order shrimp and had to ask for an exchange. The man i think was the manager was not very outwardly friendly imo. He was confused when i went up to return it. I'm vegetarian and so it did no good to me. The tofu in my replacement was terrible. Dry on one side of the cube like it had been sitting out in the air all day. Noodles we good. The price was ridiculous. $35 for 2 adults to eat. Drinks, 2 entrées, and an appetizer. I get costs are going up, but i can eat at a sit down restaurant for cheaper than that. I wont be back to any noodles and co for a while.“
“Great choices of salads, pizzas & wraps! I tried the baklava with salmon salad that I thought was prepared perfectly. The Salmon melted in my mouth & has a honey glazed topping like baklava dessert! Super Yum!! The greens are fresh & the orange slices are so juicy I didn't need the salad dressing! Service is quick from ordering to dropping at your table. There's plenty of seating. Everything looks clean & fresh!“
“Tried O & H for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Prices were very reasonable, loved the brussel sprouts and the brulee cheescake.. We both ordered salads and found them LONG on spring mix, light on other ingredients though the chicken add on was done nearly perfectly. Next time I'll try a sandwich or entree. Service was a bit clunky but kind. Booths WAY too close together if you're tall, as we are. We'll try again, at a table and ordering different food.“
“This place was cool. The food was good. The atmosphere was Melo, too. I ordered ceviche, and it was okay, but I have had better, but I guess everyone makes it different. Frozen margaritas were tasty, too. Surprisingly, this was my first time going, and I will definitely go again.“
