“While staying in downtown Omaha, my husband and I walked from Hotel Indigo to Block 16 and quickly understood why there was a crowd both outside and inside when we arrived around 6:00 PM.

We ordered at the counter and found the process easy and efficient. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. We especially appreciated being told about free refills and being checked on to ensure we were enjoying our meal and overall experience.

We shared a grilled cheese sandwich and the Funky Fungi Fries. Both were outstanding. The flavors were distinct, creative, and clearly intentional. The portions were generous enough for a hungry individual but also worked perfectly for sharing between two people, which is exactly what we did.

What impressed us most was how well everything came together. Despite the restaurant being busy, the food quality, service, and overall experience never seemed to suffer.

Block 16 is an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Omaha. Great food, friendly staff, generous portions, and a restaurant that clearly understands why people keep coming back.“

“The team at this store is so friendly and really wants you to enjoy your meal. They are busy everyday, but still are take their time with each guest. The food is amazing. Catering is super easy to order here with many different options to fit every need.“

“I decided to stop in & get a couple of subs today for my sister & I for lunch one hot & one cold & must tell you that we are beyond satisfied 😋 This was a complete 180 from the time I ordered online last year & was very disappointed with what I received a small portion of tuna salad and not having all the ingredients either. I called to speak to a manager but she had left for the day already & explained what happened I called multiple times & after a week later I finally got ahold of her & she gave me attitude & was very rude & asked me if I had my receipt & if I ate the sandwich 😳 She wasn’t wanting to give me a refund but told her that her other manager already told me that they would & finally said she would put the credit back on my card which I received the next day. “I've gone to Picklemans for years but that stops today. I had a lettuce wrapped sandwich and was the smallest portion of food I've ever received. They were out of two items we tried to order and we had to ask for one item we ordered but didn't get. Honestly not worth the price anymore!“

“With Dodge Street running at 50mph you NEED to slow down and find this gem. Just off of Dodge at 80th street this sandwich shop packs a punch. We had a last minute need to feed the staff and Penn Station East Coast Subs ABSOLUTELY fit the bill. I ordered a sub package for 12 and a large Italian Salad. It was delivered on time and displayed professionally in the space available. They thought of everything and left nothing to chance, we had plenty of condiments and dressing for all. They will be a regular in the rotation now.“

“I was in a pickle today with my catering order being canceled without prior knowledge. I walked in to Potbelly and was greeted with kindness by Zane. I shared my predicament with another sandwich location and how I was in urgent need of 15 sandwiches. Zane, Jesse, Betty & Ian took care of me right away. They procured 2 sandwich boxes in under 20 minutes. I was able to make my meeting and take care of my customers without missing a beat. The team at Potbelly really went above and beyond. The vibe was very low key and I'm hoping the scent of a certain product came from the next door establishment. It was adequately clean but shows some wear. “First time at Jersey Mike’s today. The food was excellent. I was even more impressed with the manager. I did not catch his name but he pushed his employees to get orders right, and quick, was himself working hard and did so with a smile. He greeted every customer, played peek-a-boo with a baby and had cheerful conversations with regulars. All of this on a busy Sunday lunch rush. Jersey Mike’s you do not want to lose this gentleman! It’s obvious he cares. With as busy as they were the bathrooms were even clean and tidy“

“I visit this store a lot but my latest order was an absolutely terrible failure. I actually had 4 different problems with my order and the worst of it was a bug in my sandwich. Ordered a Deluxe original with no lettuce & tomato and they slopped so much of both on my sandwich. Both were wilted and had a rotten smell and ruined the entire order. On top of that failure, both of the sandwiches were supposed to be double meat but were not double meat at all and they also failed to include additional items in the bag that we ordered. I could go on and on about their failures but the bug in my sandwich says it all! Huge disappointment! MASSIVE FAILURE!“

“I buy a sandwich from this Jimmy John’s fairly often. I’ve never had a wrong order. Like the ads say it’s fresh food fast.

But I’m really just writing this review to give a special shout out to Gina who often works the windows at night. Gina is a welcoming, kind, fun, efficient and genuinely authentic person. You can tell she cares about and likes people and always takes that extra step to be present in the moment which can be pretty rare these days. She’s a true treasure!“

“I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR ANYONE! A 1/2 STAR REVIEW IS TOO GOOD FOR THEM! I called the north 40th street location and made a delivery order for lunch today. I ordered a Bootlegger club only meat and cheese on wheat. first off the delivery driver did not meet me on the floor I specified and I went from floor to floor to find him. I finally met him and received my order. upon opening I learned the sandwich was made incorrectly. The pit lettuce and mayo on it anyway. I called and was given to the manager. instead of trying to handle the situation calmly, she accused me of having an attitude, said it would be made the way I requested it and redelivered. The manager abruptly hung up the phone. I was called by the driver roughly 15 minutes later and went to the third floor to pick up the new sandwich. I gave the first one to a therapist downstairs and went back up to eat lunch. upon opening the sandwich, I learned it was not made as I requested either! It was gooped with mayo! It was already after 1:30pm at this point and I did not have time nor did I feel like calling that store again! I packaged it back up and gave it to another therapist downstairs (they paid me for both sandwiches). So instead of getting to eat lunch, I had to go without because the staff at this location have issues with listening. I GUESS WHEN YOU WORK AT A STORE THAT IS SURROUNDED BY VAPE/KRAYON/THC STORES, IT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO GET A VAPE, GET HIGH IN THC OR KRATOM, AND WORK AT A DELI Y DER THE INFLUENCE THAT IT IS TO DO THE JOB RIGHT AND MAKE FOOD AS REQUESTED BY A CUSTOMER!!!!!! THIS LOCATION GOT PAID BY ME FOR FOOD I WAS UNABLE TO ENJOY OR EAT! THIS LOCATION WILL NEVER GET BUSINESS FROM ME AGAIN!“

“The two men that were working the late shift on 5/16 were absolutely holding down the fort. They clearly had a ton of orders that were coming in and they were staying right on top of them. They greeted and acknowledged each person that came in and were very polite in letting people know what the status of their orders were. The two men had an exceptional system going, one greeting and taking care of customers while assisting the primary sandwich maker, who was barreling through as many orders as quickly as he could. I truly believe these gentlemen could've acted completely different, but instead they acted with utmost professionalism and respect. “An Omaha staple since 1969. It's nice to see that they are making a comeback. Stopped for lunch through the drive thru, normally I'd dine in due to liking extra oil and vinegar on my sandwich (gets soggy really fast) but I had to get back to the office. The go-to is the #11 aka Royal Treat made the Little Kong way. Instead of soaking the bread they were nice enough to place the extra oil and vinegar in cups and by the time I was able to enjoy my lunch my bread wasn't soggy! Definitely be back again and again.
