Very nice place with great tasting food. Service was great and we did not have a reservation but with only two at around 530 they just sat us down. Brisket burger with bacon jam and arugula tasted amazing.
2023 - visited Half Nelson this time for dinner. Great stop again. Service was very good. We were seated promptly and given options off the menu. Order my steak and it came hot and ready to eat. Great to see the atmosphere and food have not died off since my last visit.2019 - Cool restaurant. Good food and a really cool atmosphere for a restaurant in Iowa. Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere (except a bit noisy). Our waitress was very attentive. First we had the Crab Beignets, which were delicious. Three of us had the Scallops, which was good; one had fish. Dessert was turtle cheesecake and coconut creme cake.
