Sugar Bowl Reviews
So many selections never a bad scoop and always good recommendations. If you just don't know what you want
The lavendar waffle cone with the lemon ice cream is amazing.
10/10 Brittany (Store Owner) made my first experience amazing! I got the #EspressoOreo in a waffle cone and it’s the creamiest and the best ice cream I’ve had. Love the old time feel on the inside. Due to Covid-19 the inside was closed but got to enjoy looking in and ordering from the little window up front. Thanks again Brittany!

Sugar Bowl is a charming restaurant that transports visitors back to the 1950s with its antique decor and stark white walls. The establishment offers a delightful dining experience, with 5-star ratings for its food, service, and ambiance. Customers can enjoy seating on the first floor, upstairs, or on the second-floor balcony, providing a scenic overview of downtown Decorah. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always willing to assist, and the ice cream desserts are described as "yummy." Visitors have noted the adorable Halloween decor and the unique ice cream flavors, like Zanzibar chocolate, which has exceeded expectations. The restaurant also showcases creativity in its dishes, such as ice cream advent calendars and waffle nachos. With a variety of flavors, including dairy and gluten-free options, and a second location on the Luther College campus, Sugar Bowl is a hidden gem that seems to care for its customers. The service is good, and employees have happy attitudes, making it a welcoming spot. The shop is small but cute, and prices are reasonable, allowing customers to enjoy rich ice cream for about $5 each. Note that Sugar Bowl downtown is open about three-quarters of the year.
