“Are there nicer bars in town? Sure. Are there better bars in town? No way.This is a great bar with a great atmosphere. It's dimly lit, usually reasonably quiet (as bars go), and a little trashy (but in a good way). On the main floor you'll find the bar, a shuffleboard table, darts, jukebox, a couple tables to sit at, and good people. This bar has a lot of traditions and respect for its long time patrons. They often run contests for their guests like the big March Madness shot bracket, measured each night when two shots compete for orders. The second level sports a free pool table on one side, and a lounge area with leather couches on the other side.The bartenders are always friendly and prompt, and there is good conversation to be had with other patrons.OK beer selection, lots of fruity and cider options, but also a good array of heavy beers. I enjoyed a hazy Sierra Nevada IPA and then several Odell 90 Shillings.My friends and I also appreciated the relatively private area for smoking out back.“

“Enjoyed my first visit to Berk's. We were there in the late afternoon and it was mostly an older crowd like ourselves. I understand that late in the evening it gets more lively with the college students. It was very pleasant, the bartender was friendly, the environment was peaceful at that time of day. The other bar patrons were friendly. They have comfortable upholstered bar stools as well as table seating. There are bags of snacks that you can buy.“

“I’ve spent some of my best nights Cypress, a staple of downtown cf and my favorite bar. Over the last 9 years since I’ve quit drinking I’ve asked for mocktails/ virgin drinks and gotten countless weird/ confused looks from bartenders at other local establishments and usually end up with a Shirley temple (no hate to Shirley, but sometimes a gal needs variety!) When I told the girls Saturday night to make me anything I was sooooo stunned and happy to get a virgin MULE! Fancy cup and all!! Those gorgeous young ladies made my night! I stayed til bar close like I was in my 20’s again. I was a life long customer for the nostalgia alone but I’m even more in love with the place than I was when I was drinking.“

From the pink Cadillac on the wall to the small town neighborhood bar feel, this place hits just right. The barkeeps are attentive and polite, and the people there are exactly what you might expect. “Whenever we are in Cedar Falls, we always make sure to stop at the Landmark. The friendly atmosphere will warm your soul, or maybe that's just the good brews that the incredible staff serves. Inside, there is plenty of seating at the bar or at high top tables. Play some tunes, Buck Hunter, or darts! Outside, the patio has several tables to enjoy your favorite sport on TV or you play giant Jenga! Definitely a place I recommend everyone to check out!“

“always have a great dinner at Whiskey roads I love the bourbon selection I'm a big bourbon drinker the only little pet peeve I had was the White Russian was in too big a glass too much ice too much milk does not allow the drink to stay consistent everything else as usual was just perfect this is a place where I know I can take out of town guests and I'll always be satisfied“
