“My boyfriend and I were in Independence, Iowa for about 2 weeks for his job and we stayed at the Hotel that was in walking distance to this little bar so we went and checked it out! We absolutely loved it! We went in and immediately we were greeted with friendly smiles and great conversation! By the time we left we felt like part of the family! This is our favorite bar here in Independence! If your in the area, for sure check them out!“
“Unique bar and restaurant right on the bank of the Wapsie River. Very nice deck for outdoor seating overlooking the river and park across the river. Good food, decent beer selection (though no draft beers anymore ?) and service is always good, even when very busy as it can be on nice weekend days when the biker waves funnel in.Vegetarian options: They have a pretty solid vegetarian pizza ?“
“Love this bar, great atmosphere & owners. Sadly tho when the owners aren’t there the staff is too busy with their friends at the bar to wait on the customers, we were there again last night & had to keep getting her attention away from her friends to get more. Food is good but every time we get something it’s cold. Pretzel bites last night were still cold(like ice cold) in the center! Sadly I think the owners need to screen the help better.“
