“Awesome place with great food!“

“Unique N.E. Iowa experience. Reminded me a bit of a 20's speak easy. Lights were off on the street and the big antique wood door was open just a crack. Walk through a narrow, dark hallway to the back where a set of steep stairs lead you down into a stone cellar with picnic bench seating and a tiny bar serving only German beers. Conversation was lively and friendly. Check before you go, its seasonal and occupancy is 50 some.“

“Moxie's is a family owned and operated bar. Moxie's has a great beer and wine selection as well as many choices of liquor. Additionally, Moxie's serves some pretty good pizza as well. This place also has a pool table, dart board, and multiple arcade games. Moxie's is in a great location as it is located on the Main Street through Guttenberg and right across the street from the Mississippi River which is a great view. If you're passing through Guttenberg make a stop in Moxie's tap, order pizza and play some games while you're there.“

“The service is wonderful, they are friendly and efficient. The food is phenomenal! I mean put out this world. It is well worth the drive to this little Mississippi river town. The specials are creative. Do not miss this place! The Waygu bacon burger with drunk mushrooms, carmelized onions and blue cheese drizzle is out of this world! You choose a side....I personally love the sweet potato fries. There are so many good things to eat here.“

“What a great experience. First time to visit Alabama. Athens was a convenient place to stop on the way to Florida. I looked for a local sports bar to watch Monday Night Football and the Yankees game… in Alabama. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed. The food was great bar food. The locals also love it. Mark the bartender is the most efficient restaurant employee I have ever experienced. Polite, attentive and does the job of 3or 4 employees. I recommend the pork chop sandwich with fried okra. Delicious.“
