What a great experience. First time to visit Alabama. Athens was a convenient place to stop on the way to Florida. I looked for a local sports bar to watch Monday Night Football and the Yankees game… in Alabama. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed. The food was great bar food. The locals also love it. Mac's Sports Bar is an excellent dive bar with fantastic service!!! Going back to the service, as I said, it's fantastic. The servers were very receptive when our drinks were going low as they were quick to ask and deliver the next round of drinks. Even the bartender came out to drop off our drinks when the waitress was busy attending to others. Under new management' new name " I dont care Pub and Grub"!!!. The food is awsome burgers are huge Philly cheesesteak was awsome. She serves breakfast every Sunday. Very good service friendly customers!!
