“I can’t say enough good things about Creme. The beverages are genuinely great, but what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It’s artistic, creative, and thoughtfully curated in a way that makes you want to stay awhile.
They host quarterly events, and I’ve attended a few — every single one has felt welcoming, inclusive, and full of good energy. You can tell there’s real intention behind everything they do.
In my over 20 years of being in Des Moines, I truly believe this has been one of the best additions to the Des Moines dining community. On top of that, the owner is genuinely one of the best people you could choose to support.
If you’re looking to support a local, woman-owned small business that pours heart into its space and community, I highly recommend giving Creme a try. This is a Des Moines must-have.“

“I cannot say enough great things about Sweet Treat without Wheat! I had the pleasure of trying their cinnamon sugar donuts, and they were absolutely delicious—soft, flavorful, and perfectly sweet without being too heavy. You’d never guess they’re gluten-free!
What made the experience even more special was the incredible generosity of the owner. Despite the bakery being located in Iowa, she went above and beyond to get the donuts to me all the way in Aruba.
If you’re looking for amazing gluten-free treats made with love, this is the place to go. I can’t wait to try more of their baked goods!“

“Wonderful Mexican bakery! The best part? Very clean. The lady behind the counter was super kind when we asked her about certain items and she kept cleaning and wiping things down. We got some bolillos and conchas. The worst part? There is only street parking but we found a spot right in front.“

“We were married 10/24, and Chef Nik did our cake and cookies (we had cookies and milk for dessert). The cake was BEAUTIFUL and everything we wanted and then some. It tasted even better, and everyone loved the cookies (like, we had zero leftovers..). HIGHLY recommend Nik for all your dessert needs!“

“We chose Molly’s for our wedding cakes and boy did people really chow those down. The cakes for our guests were amazing, but our wedding cake was more than I could have ever imagined. They took my inspiration pictures and executed beyond belief. The cake was incredible to eat and to look at. We were speechless. I would recommend Molly’s for weddings and in general as all their items are so delicious. Thank you so much!!“

“The pistachio croissant was one of the best pastries I’ve ever had, et j’en ai mangé partout en France. I almost ate all four pastries I bought. The final purchase was the beet, feta, sweet potato salad with a balsamic dressing. It was very satisfying.“
