“I'm a hop snob, growing my own hops on trellises in southwest Iowa. Been a huge fan of Sierra Nevada, Stone, and Laughing Dog. When I encountered Confluence's Des Moines IPA - Double Dry Hopped, it instantly became my number one. What a perfect balance of subtle but not overwhelming sweetness with a crisp wet hoppiness that doesn't overwhelm. Getting this balance right is insanely tough.Got to tour Confluence and was even more of a fan. What a fantastic operation, with a passion for innovation. “Attended a private party held here and would definitely recommend the space for that! Plenty of parking, we were able to bring our own food in, and decorate the space nicely.The bartenders were knowledgeable and gave good suggestions for what was on tap. A few friends had mixed drinks that they really liked- mules and old fashions were recommended.“
“The food was excellent! I had the short-rib tacos and would definitely get those again. It's a fun environment, family friendly. We waited a long time for a server to arrive but otherwise the service was fine. The drinks are okay. I would recommend this place for the great food.“
“First time eating at this place, and I was actually impressed. Upon walking in, it was lit with dim lighting with fake candles on each table to help with some nice ambience (which I really like, makes me feel richer than I really am.. lol ). Overall place was clean, tables and booths were nice and clean, place was not overly loud so I could hear my conversation without being disturbed or the feeling of needing to yell. I ordered a glass of water as my beverage, and my entree was the Italian grazziano meat pizza. The pizza was cooked throughly and had a nice crunch on the crust, the meats tasted good and it wasn't overly greasy considering it had sausage on it. Pizza was about a 10 inch pie with about 8 slices. Nothing too huge, nothing too small. For me, it was a perfect size to get full and have left overs later. The server was very kind as well. Checked in on us a few times, refilled my water and kept a professional attitude. I will not disclose names, but she did a great job taking care of us. Person I went with ordered chicken tenders and fries , and both of those were also quite good! No complaints here. The food was fairly good, as I found no flaws really. I will definitely be back. One last thing, the pizza, chicken tenders, + 1 mule roughly came out to about 39$. Not too bad considering a drink and 2 fairly decently sized dishes. If you're looking to stay under 50$ and have a fun chill date, this is a good place.“
“Overall had a great experience here. Food was delicious and so was the drink I had.Theater and restrooms clean. Service great. There was some technical difficulties when the previews were starting. They kept us informed on what was happening and were able to get it resolved and start the movie on time.“

Caught loitering in-front of the brewery around 11:32 on a Wednesday and the door opened to inquire if I needed water or anything (as it was a scorching day).Small conversation later and I was invited in during off-hours to sample brews while everyone inside went about prepping for the day and tomorrow morning's Ragbrai send-off festivities.The hospitality was insane! The brews were amazing! The company was fantastic! 'Iowa Nice' is an understatement.Brightside Aleworks has a fantastic location and amazing brews, definitely give them a try if you are in the area.“

The availability for me to be truly and utterly myself is infinite. The staff is caring (and forgiving ) as well as attentive and accurate. “Cool laid back place right off the bike trail. It is absolutely perfect to grab a cold beer on your way thru. Plus it has killer beers. The staff are great and the patrons are fun too. It is definitely worth a stop whether you are on a bike or in a car.“
“Had a party Cheaper to rent than a lot of places. Taco bar was ok. No lettuce or regular sour cream. The bowling was fun. Could use more workers but did a pretty good job of keeping up.Parking: Needed more close parking spaces for the amount of business there.“
