ChuChus Donuts blew me away from the first bite! Their cronut bites are on a whole different level — flaky, buttery, and crisp on the outside, with soft, airy layers inside that just melt in your mouth. Each one has that perfect golden crunch that gives way to rich, indulgent goodness. They’re sweet without being overpowering, and every bite feels like a little piece of pastry heaven.

I also tried their cake donuts, and they deserve just as much praise. Moist, dense in the best way, and full of flavor — all had that homemade taste that feels both nostalgic and elevated. Not overly greasy, just perfectly balanced.

The staff was friendly, the shop was clean, and the selection was fresh, get there early, or they may be sold out. Whether you’re a cronut connoisseur or just love a good donut, ChuChus is worth every visit. I’ll be coming back — probably more often than I should!“

“This location has struggled for several years now finding hard working people who are dedicated to their job and show up but the new owners of the place have gone above and beyond!! They have been so nice and the food is fresh, coffee is well made, and they do it all with a smile! They are very hard working and you can tell they want to make your experience pleasant, HIGHLY recommend this location!!“

“We ordered in the drive through, and one of the drinks we wanted required a syrup that the store was out of. The employee incredibly politely said that they were out of it and than offered a replacement that would make the drink taste similar. Probably the best service I've had at a drive through in a long time, and they didn't even ask for a tip.“

“I'm told they have good coffee, and I like their smoothies. Every time I've stopped at a Scooters in the last 6 months, they're always out.od cake bites, however; not sure why they still have them in the menu if they cannot actually keep them stocked.“

“I’ve been coming to this Dunkin’ for years, and the experience has stayed consistent: you get your coffee, the staff are friendly enough, and that’s that. Nothing extraordinary, but it gets the job done.

Now, the parking lot… well, it’s a compact little maze in a strip mall lot, so you get what you get. Maneuvering in there feels like a mini driving test, and just as a heads-up: I was once the victim of a hit-and-run in this very parking lot. Not Dunkin’s fault, but maybe keep your head on a swivel and have insurance. Just a suggestion.“

“Initially came for the boba and didn’t care for the donuts. Funny enough, I loved the donut and was unfortunately disappointed with my drink.

I ordered a black milk tea with tapioca pearls and it lacked flavor. The tapioca was not the best quality either.

I decided to get a classic glazed donut (not pictured because it was inhaled immediately). It was easily one of the greatest donuts I’ve had in a very long time. It was so soft and fluffy!

The inside is very cute and clean. I really liked how they have photos of their regulars displayed. There is also a self order kiosk.

I understand that the construction on Ankeny makes entering businesses somewhat difficult, but I think it’d be worth giving them a try! Maybe next time I will try a fruit tea instead.“
