Nice rotation on the taps, including many local brews, and a plentiful selection of cocktail options. The food is a delectable selection of paninis and bar favorites. “I ate at the bar for supper and had a seafood pasta dish with salad and bread sticks, of course. The bartender was my waitress and she disappeared (no one else was behind the bar or checking on me) for quite a while after my food was delivered. I would have liked to had a water and some more breadsticks with my pasta, but that didn't happen. Overall, the food was top-notch and the service was marginal.“

“I’m a new pescatarian but ive been a vegetarian for a really long time. It’s hard finding Chinese food that has all the great flavors but shrimp but wow does me eggroll deliver. Service was so nice, wait was quick. The food was amazing. Seriously can’t recommend enough ! :D“

“It was good! First time visiting. Place is clean and inviting enough for a quick sandwich! Service is excellent! I tried a reuben sandwich. It was good enough. Not the best I've ever had, but good! I'll always go here before the alternative, Subway🤮!“

“Paige and team did a great job tonight for us! We visited after a little over a decade away and the place still looks good as new. You can see the team has a great atmosphere to work around, and that they exhibit a lot of care for what they do. Cooks did a great job on my steak and the bar was fast to get drinks out, and Paige did a great job making sure we were constantly attended to. Thank you for a great night team!“

“It's a Panera, on par with any other Panera. Good bagels, never had a bad drink from here, a little compact to fit a lot of seating but not claustrophobic. Can get a lot loud and might be difficult to hear when your order is called, but the pickup area is obvious and easy to check. Overall solid place and never had any issues.“

“We live in Ankeny, but very often drive to the Johnston Panera to enjoy our weekly coffee/pastry date. This location is obviously managed well. It is always clean and the pastries are not over baked. The coffee bar is also always clean as is the microwave. Coffee is always fresh and if it isn't they immediately bring out a fresh pot. Also this location seems to be well staffed! Our compliments to the management and staff of this Johnston location! Well done!“

“Typical Panera with the drive-through. The soup was good. I had the broccoli cheddar. They had good orange scones and I wasn’t able to eat my chicken salad sandwich but it looked great. Definitely come here again. It’s not right off the highway.“
