“I’ve been going to this place for about 7-8 years maybe? I’m never disappointed! Love the friendly family that owns it! Never misses with tastes! I could eat here so many times a week if I could! My family and I probably already go 1-2 times a week.. We love it! 10/10 recommend!!“

“Had A Dong today for an early dinner and it was awesome!!! 10 out of 10, would highly recommend. I have been eating there for almost 30 years and it never disappoints. The menu has something for everyone and is very affordable. The staff is always very nice and happy to see me. I don’t get there often but go every chance I can.“

“TNT Vietnamese Restaurant is an oldie but a goodie. I used to frequent here a lot, but a few owner changes left me dining elsewhere instead. However, in more recent times it seems to have made a comeback. Not like before but different in an ok way. My beloved bun mam was good, not mindblownly delicious by any means. Bun mam is a very pungent flavor, largely created off shrimp paste, seafoods and crispy pork. It’s a unique taste for sure, often referred to on menus as “seafood gumbo”. It is not for the sensitive eater, FYI. I, however, LOVE this dish and if I see it on a Vietnamese restaurant menu, it’s my automatic go to. This one could have been “more stinky” (for those that know what I mean, ya know what I mean) but it was still good. Fried tofu here is always fried hot with a great dipping sauce. Simple appetizer, always a crowd pleaser. The wings here are normally good but today it was busy for lunch and they failed to sauté the vegetables like they normally do. Wings were still good, just not their usual tastiness. All good, we still ate them. Egg rolls are standardly good, LOVE me some fish sauce and Sriracha to dip them in. Special Fried Rice was spectacular as always, love the sweet Chinese sausage in this dish. And yes, I dumped fish sauce and sriracha on this too. Judge me all you want, I don’t comment when I see people dip their sushi in sweet & sour sauce 🤷🏻♀️ Always in my Asian food rotation but I do miss the old bun mam recipe 🥺“

“Great food! Huge portions, and very friendly service. Such a great addition to the east village. We got the pho special, the honey spicy wings, Ube cream coffee ?, and tofu spring rolls
Vegetarian options: Tofu spring rolls were great!“

“If you’ve read my other reviews, you know I can eat quite a bit, but I was genuinely impressed by the portion sizes at this restaurant. The Pho, which is packed with meat and noodles, was so generous that I couldn’t finish it during my last visit—something that rarely happens to me. I usually stick to the basic Pho Ga (Chicken), but I've also tried their craft drinks and appetizers, all of which have been delicious. I particularly enjoy their spring rolls and egg rolls. The spring rolls come with eight shrimp divided between two rolls, making them a standout as particularly large.
The staff is consistently friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable—perhaps even lower than other Pho spots around Des Moines. My only minor complaints are the lack of refillable fountain drinks (soda can be pricey) and the absence of accessible nutritional information on the menu or website. Given Pho's generally low calorie count, highlighting this could be beneficial for health-conscious diners like myself. In either case, I'll definitely be back sometime and encourage you all to try it if you haven't.“

“The food here is great and the atmosphere is so fun. Currently, the seasonal menu (winter 2025) has Yo's Wontons which are in an excellent sauce. I also enjoy the bing bing wraps and drunken noodles.“

“In Des Moines to see a friend in the hospital and Google Maps showed a great review for 77. It was my first time eating Pho and it was awesome. I had the Combination Vermicelli and Green Tea Pot (kept warm with a tea light). The waitress was very pleasant and polite and the food was delicious. I'm now hooked on Pho.“

“Stumbled upon this restaurant when visiting Des Moines a couple weeks ago. Food was delicious. Tried the pho, banh mi, spam masubi and garlic jalapeño rangoon. Everything was so good. Also got bubble tea- it’s a must!“

“Wonderful delivery- they send you all the parts and you put it together to avoid over cooking the noodles or meat! HUGE thing of sides for the pho, too! Absolutely loved their *four inch long* spring rolls, as well. A large pho fed myself, my child, and still had leftovers (rare thing for my family)!“
