This is a very nice place to eat! I love the way it's decorated!!
What a wonderful find. We were in Iowa visiting family when a friend suggested we try Char Steakhouse. I was skeptical at first but made the drive to Fairfield to try this place. I am so glad we did. We started with cocktails and wine which were delicious and crafted perfectly. Next was a salad course that was crisp and fresh. Char Steakhouse is a wonderful find in Fairfield. The food, service, and atmosphere are beyond amazing. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and welcoming, with a fire place at the center of the restaurant. The decor, menu, and presentation of meals are impeccable.
The food is incredible and so well crafted. The steak is cooked exactly how it is ordered—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The filets are cooked perfectly and the flavor is exceptional. Every course is incredible, from the shrimp appetizer to a perfectly cooked and delicious steak dinner, and ending with an unforgettable chocolate dessert. The salad course is crisp and fresh, and the cream brûlée is perfected. The Cadillac Margarita is over the top.
The service is great, attentive enough to provide everything needed without hovering after every bite. The staff is incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The hospitality is personable and welcoming. Both owners stopped by to check on guests and genuinely cared about them and their experience. This is a great date night place and a wonderful place to show someone how much they are loved.
