“Didn't I already post about this branch of Sugar Makery? Anyways, I was visiting here both because I was early for a haircut and needed a bathroom beforehand. This was weeks before the one in Shenandoah, Iowa would open and needed a reminder of the whimsy and selection of this franchise. Until that day, I had never heard of Tiger Butter Fudge (peanut butter+chocolate+vanilla). The store was amazing as always.”

“We went during our ghost adventure stay in Malvern, and the minute you see the cafe you feel warm and welcome. The atmosphere is so cozy, and feels like you’re at your grandparents house for a loving home cooked meal. The food was homemade and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! The host, cooks, and waitresses makes you feel like you are part of their family, and want to get to know you. I would 100% recommend and plan on making the 6 hour trip back again!”

“Come to Plattsmouth and try out this small town restaurant with big city flavor. Located across the street from the courthouse, this restaurant supplies the city with delicious milkshakes, sandwiches, and ice cream that cannot be replicated at home. Your first step into the restaurant you are almost taken back to its first 103 years as a bar with an ice cream parlor twist. The restaurant retains a lot of its nostalgic feel and I was really enjoying it. The misses and I saw it and tried it on a whim. I was lucky enough to try the Roast beef and cheddar and I don't know what they did to that sandwich, but I don't think I could find another that will hold a candle to it. Wonderful and flavorful and perfect amounts of everything. The mrs decided to try the special which was a Turkey Bacon and Swiss on flatbed. Now I would love to tell you how that sandwhich was but by the time I looked to see how she was doing on it, it was gone. Now the hardest part of our trips is my son, who I decided on a Grilled Cheese. I don't know whether to be happy, or jealous because I've never seen him eat one that fast and I try to make them weekly as a quick lunch or dinner so hats off to the chef because you got a picky eater to eat that fast!”

The food was very good, they bring out chips and salsa while waiting, the portion size was big, I got the combo #7, two Burrito choice of meat and then beans and rice comes with it, the Burrito where big!! I had leftover ? the best! They have an all breakfast menu, and my friend got the breakfast Burrito, I will be coming back, and I definitely want to try the breakfast menu! “This is the best fried chicken on the road. It's like getting a home cooked family style sit-down meal when just traveling through. Get your gas and convenient items right alongside.”

“If you're going to take me to a friendly down home restaurant for American fare, this place right here is the place to go. You can't tell by the size of this meal but it is probably the size of a football end to end. It was delicious and I actually had to take it home for leftovers. The inside of the business looks a little dated but honestly it feels exactly like you would at moms.”

“I've been going on the Thursday "taco ride" to Tobey Jack's Mineola Steak House for tacos and margaritas regularly for about 10 years. We also always stop in while on multi-day bikepacking trips and other group rides on the trail. I really enjoy the overall atmosphere and especially love it when they have live music outside on the patio. If they could up their bean taco game, I would visit even more! Thanks for being such a staple of southwest Iowa for so long and giving riders a great destination on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail every day. Here's to many more years of taco rides!”
