“Visited from out of town and 100% worth the stop. I ordered the Grilled Turkey pesto sandwich and the single serving Oreo cheesecake. The sandwich was bigger than I expected and was absolutely delicious, especially as a big pesto fan. The cheesecake was amazing and the best I’ve ever had. I would absolutely recommend coming here and I can’t wait to be able to go back and try all the delicious looking pastries, breads, and other desserts and foods.“

“I have come to this location many times and the employees are always very friendly and efficient!! The only downside to this crumbl bakery would be the location it is in such a bad spot and the parking is always super busy and very tight. I’ve almost been hit multiple times by people parking basically on top of my car.“

“We got our wedding cupcakes from here and they were amazing! Everyone loved them. We got a few different flavors and one batch was even vegan/GF. Sammy was wonderful to work with, from our tasting to the cupcakes being delivered to our venue day of. Highly recommend!“

“Went to 5 Borough Bakery today for the first time. My husband and I went 2 hours and 45 min after opening (10:45 am) on a Saturday. Their temporary hours state they're open until 2pm, so still another 3+ hours to go. Unfortunately, they had just 6 options to choose from and said that's all they had left for the day. We chose to go with Cinnamon rolls - they've been so highly regarded, we were looking forward to trying them for ourselves. Individuals were $5, or a 6-pack was $20 (but each roll was quite a bit smaller than what is provided in the individuals). We chose the 6-pack. Once we got home, the cinnamon rolls were very dense, not fluffy, some spots were hard while others were doughy, and frosting had little flavor - a whipped butter frosting (which tasted like there wasn't any vanilla in it, very bland), instead a cream cheese or other flavorful frosting. Overall, we were pretty disappointed with the cinnamon rolls after hearing so much hype about them. This plus the lack of selection and pricing have us hesitant on giving this place another shot.“

“We ordered the champagne cake for a birthday party. The cake was ready on the day and time specified. Family and friends were so impressed with the cake. It was beautifully decorated and tasted fabulous. The cake made the birthday celebration all the more special. I highly recommend the Bake Shoppe.“

“I dont give 5 stars for any company.This is far my favorite bread next Brownberry.I try to avoid not buy the company branded labels like Hyvee, Fareway or Great Value (Walmart brand). Just too bad I dont see this brand in Walmart.i know some Walmart Great Value bread is Country Hearth bread just the private labelHyvee sometimes is under Sara Lee.Just like tortilla- Mama Lupa's has there private label for HyveeSara Lee is just too expensive. Especially at Hyvee and Fair“
“Suzie makes the best cakes in all of Des Moines. I asked for a chocolate and raspberry cake for my birthday, and she did not disappoint! It was not only delicious but also super cute, topped with frosted flowers and sparkles! I recommend Suzie for all of your homemade baked good needs!“

“I used You Bake Me Happy for the first time this past weekend for my daughter's Bridal Shower. Very easy to work with - had great suggestions/ideas and also incorporated my ideas. She was easy to work with, communicated well and in a timely manner. Cookies were BEAUTIFUL and the guests were so impressed with the taste as well. “I’m so happy Des Moines finally has a South Korean bakery! TOUS les JOURS is super cute and has a great selection of pastries and drinks. They have cloud cake, macarons, and so many cute pastries! It’s soo hard to choose! I got a cloud cake, a milk bread loaf, and my favorite, sausage ppang. It tastes just like the ones in Korea! Everything was soft, fresh, and delicious. Their coffee goes perfectly with the pastries, and the staff is super friendly 🫶🏽🍰💕
