“J&Js is a high volume restaurant. We went on Friday evening and it was buffet only with no table service so you go to the bar to get your drinks, communication of this would have been helpful. 17.95 includes a very basic salad bar and soft serve ice cream. Seafood buffet was very good and kept full and included fried cod, catfish, clam strips & fries. There is also broiled cod, cut potatoes and canned corn & beans. Not quite the experience I was hoping for but got the job done.“
“What a great experience. First time to visit Alabama. Athens was a convenient place to stop on the way to Florida. I looked for a local sports bar to watch Monday Night Football and the Yankees game… in Alabama. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed. The food was great bar food. The locals also love it. Mark the bartender is the most efficient restaurant employee I have ever experienced. Polite, attentive and does the job of 3or 4 employees. I recommend the pork chop sandwich with fried okra. Delicious.“
“Loved it here! The best fried pickles I've ever had. I had the cod nuggets and a Moscow mule and those were both very good as well. It's always a gamble on a mule and they typically come out to strong but this one was perfect. We will be stopping again.“
