The chicken lips were great as well, I’m so glad I tried them despite the name being a bit off-putting 😉 Can be a little pricey for college students, but I feel it’s worth it.”

“Hilltop is a local dive and neighborhood bar with a great menu. 3 pool tables in the back, several TV's with Iowa games featured. Great selection of canned and bottled beverages. They recently expanded their NA selection. This is a great spot for conversationalists, lunch specials, and the rural, urban crowd this spot draws in. Open Tuesday through Saturday”

“We hadn’t seen our son for a while and are here for his wedding Saturday, and came here for dinner. \nIt was very crowded for a Thursday night but he got reservations.\n\nWe started with two delicious appetizers, burrata cheese with sliced toasted bread and calamari (a picture of the mostly eaten calamari is attached- I wasn’t even that fast to get a picture of the burrata.\n\nOur son and I had the fiver scallop special that was a little spicy but very good (picture attached).\nMy wife had a large farro salad with a large piece of salmon filet on top ( picture also attached).\n\nWe shared a tiramisu for dessert (picture inserted below) delicious also.\n\nThe one main shortcoming was how loud it was, I couldn’t hear any of the conversation.\n\nBeza and a couple others did a very nice job helping us, the service was excellent”

“food is always great as well as the service. oh, and they make deviled eggs much more delicate compared to most places. with the option to sprinkle bacon on top of their deviled eggs, you definitely got a chefs kiss right there”

“I came in today. I ordered a burger. it was the tap tap to be exact. I wanted to add bacon on it but there wasn't an option for the bartender to add that when she placed my order. Instead, she went back to the kitchen to check with the cooks to see if it could be an option and they made it happen. such a great way of going above and beyond.”

“My wife and I went to the Black Angel for a late lunch about 4 pm today. We split a beef brisket sandwich with each us having a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. The soup was lukewarm and had to be reheated which was promptly and courteously done, as was all service rendered. This was our only complaint. Everything was excellent. Best Chicken Tortilla soup (not too spicy) ever had, The sandwich was great too. Yum!”
