WELCOMING FRONT & ENTERTAINING ATMOSPHERE

Watching the pizzas be made by the team from the outside window is a really cool characteristic of this place. The young gal that took my order was very kind & sweet. The restaurant certainly has a charming but untouched interior (not in a bad way) from the 90's - a la what the inside of a Pizza Hut used to be like. The pie was decent when it was piping hot, but nothing to write home about. I was disappointed because I didn't walk into there thinking I was about to eat an earth-shattering amazing piece of pizza. I'd certainly go back and then sit outside on a Fall day.

I really really really don't know why people like this pizza. It is mediocre, always busy, and had crap wait staff
Just because something has been there's a long time and they are "a good Regina family" (something I've been told) doesn't make it good. If you are from the Chicago area and used to a really good thin crust , you will hate it.

What a great pizza. The atmosphere is so quiet and the kids at the front counter seem to be afraid to talk when the owner is around…. Maybe it’s a weeknight and that’s why but this place seemed to quiet for a pizza joint!

A legendary pizza specialty with history in Iowa City. My first experience lives up to everything I have heard. The resturant was the cleanest resturant I ave ever been in and very classy and friendly staff. We ordered 2 pizzas to go and I picked them up. I was 15 mins late picking them up butbl they where still very hot when I got them home. The smells where so delicious and made me excited to eat. The crust was on the thin side and very crisp. The cheese was the perfect amount and melted to a light brown. The toppings where amazing. Overall the best pizza from a resturant I have ever had the honor to eat. I couldn't get over how fresh the taste was. And for the first time ever there was no amount of grease or oily tracts left on my plate or my hands. Pagliai's has figures out how to offer amazing pizza pies!!

Parking: It's located near downtown so on street parking and you might have to walk alittle

I had my first Pagliai's Pizza as a teen on my birthday in 1982. It's still as wonderful today. The sauce, crust, and plentiful toppings are amazing. Oh, if everything in this world could deliver as much satisfaction consistently! I ❤️ Pagliai's!
