“My daughter has been wanting to try a sushi restaurant for a while now, and on our trip to Iowa City we ran into Sumo Sushi. we decided to give it a try and it definitely did not disappoint! our server, I think his name is Anthony, did an amazing job guiding us on what to try. our favorite was the shrimp tempura roll! service was fast and very kind. we will definitely be going back soon!“
“Been in Iowa for almost a decade, and I keep coming back to Sushiya. The location is small, which enhances the dining experience and service. It's a hidden gem with great sushi and entrées. Personal favorites are the honey roll and any spicy roll. The Singapore noodles and General Tso chicken are also excellent. This place is worth your time and money every time.“

Thai iced tea and crab rangoons to start, then we shared 7 rolls with leftovers: California, Philly, sweet potato, and tempura broccoli rolls, Red Ginger roll, Peanut Special roll, and Snow White roll. “This is my favorite place to get poke bowls. The ingredients are always delicious and reasonably proportioned. To top it all off, the presentation is always excellent, they even include a pretty flower atop the dish! Everyone in Iowa City should try this restaurant at least once.“
