We've been to Wildwood but it was 5 or 6 years ago and due to its location we often forget about it. My husband and I were looking specifically for a couple sides and this restaurant came to mind. The only side they didn't have that we wanted were the sweet potato fries.

We went on a Sunday evening and it was quiet. This was nice because we personally don't like a lot of noise (whether a music act or music blaring.) When we remember to eat here again we will be sure to pick the same evening.

We ordered the cheese curds appetizer and two meat platter with pulled pork, brisket, baked beans and corn nuggets. It come with a slice of Texas toast. Brisket ($1) and corn nuggets ($3) are an upcharge. Still economical. The cheese curds were phenomenal! They were fluffy almost like air with a cheese taste. Towards the end of our meal, when they cooled off they were firmer but expected. The two meats were tasty, just enough smoke and not a lot of spices. We'd rather put the sauce on for flavor. They offer jerk, Carolina, sweet, spicy and original. We preferred the original and sweet. The baked beans were more spicy and smoky than we like but that is a personal preference. We also enjoyed the corn nuggets. Suggestion to Wildwood...get some sweet potato fries on the menu - that would be perfect. :)

The plates are rectangle metal dishes. I did not care for silverware on metal sound (like fingernails on a chalkboard.) I will ask for the parchment paper liners they have when they serve their food. That will help.

Seating (at least on the first floor) is barstool height. They did have 3 folding tables on the dance floor but there wasn't an event or music so it worked.) Any other time I don't see an option for a person in a wheelchair height. The 2nd floor is only accessible by stairs.

We'll be back to try more sides and meats for sure!

Parking: Parking is plenty on non-event nights.

Kid-friendliness: On a Friday, Saturday night (or an event night) I would not recommend it. Otherwise it's fine. I don't recall if they had a kid menu so as long as they like the menu it's fine.

Wheelchair accessibility: Entry is handheld door, room inside is a little squishy and seating only when they have the extra tables (as far as I can tell.)

We were traveling and looked ahead at the menu and a few reviews and thought we'd try it. It was a Thursday afternoon for lunch.I can cook ok so I may be a tough critic but I'm trying to be generous here. My wife and I split a tenderloin and fries and a 2 meat BBQ platter. We figured we'd go both directions just to be safe and I'm glad we did.

The best thing we ate was the tenderloin. It was fresh, dry breaded, and cooked correctly with good quality meat. Fries appeared to be made in house at least average in taste and quality.

The BBQ platter is next. They were out of some of the meats they had listed. We settled on smoked chicken, burnt brisket ends with sides being mac & cheese and baked beans. The mac & cheese was acceptable. Cheesy, stringy and appeared to be fresh. The two meats next.... Brisket burnt ends were old and dry. Like yesterday or the day before old. The smoked chicken was pulled breast meat with zero smoke flavor. It almost appeared boiled.(but I'm sure that it was not.) It may have lacked any flavor but at least it was dry. The smoked baked beans had zero smoke. I did see a little pulled pork in there but they appeared other than that to come right out of a can. (and for sure tasted that way)

I saw zero pride put into the BBQ side of that meal. From a BBQ stand point I'd have been ashamed to serve that meal. Very disappointed. The bartender waitress was very nice. Rest rooms dirty and needed attention.

That place has a lot of possibilities. If you want to get drunk and watch a band on the weekend I bet it's a good place. But for quality BBQ I would give it a hard 2 on the 10 scale.

Parking: The parking was nice and close. After that it goes down hill fast.

Probably the best BBQ I've ever had. Had the 3-meat platter (smoked sausage, pulled pork, brisket burnt ends) with a half-rack of ribs and a side of cheese balls (basically fried cheese curds) and fries. Everything was spectacular. The sauces here are phenomenal as well - special shout-out to the original sauce on the ribs and the Jamaican jerk sauce. Only criticism would be the EDM music being SUPER loud - but going to the upstairs seating area made it easier to talk and hear. Overall, this was a fantastic place to eat and I highly recommend it.

MUST VISIT. We split the Wildwood platter with 3 meats for lunch and couldn't eat it all. Top 3 BBQ joints I've ever been to. Eat inside; it's so cool. Now i need to catch a band there on a Fri/Sat night!
