I actually live in Auckland but visit wanganui about 4 times a year, & I always pop in here, they have so many beautiful things & at reasonable prices too. I always end up buying something. “Nice selection of Burger choices and the cost was lower than most places. Service was good and the locals were all friendly. You can tell there is pride in the town, very nicely decorated and clean.”

I sampled several items and all were good, a few were fantastic.The opinions I express are based on my multiple decades of consuming restaurants food.1. ) Cole Slaw was good..I like for it to be a bit creamier and a touch sweeter.2. ) Tavern Sandwich was good..I like for it to be not as sweet.3. ) Bacon Double Cheese Burger was great..the smoke flavor of the Bacon overpowered the burger, so no bacon next time.4. ) Pepsi Shake was amazing..even though not on the menu and my server had never made one, she produced a perfect one.5. ) The Onion Rings were fantastic !! I will order with light salt next time.I will absolutely be back next time I pass by..lots more goodies on the menu to sample.”
