“Stayed here for a couple days on a business trip. Because of its close proximity to the location i would be going, it would be easy to walk too.

At 1st I was a bit underwhelmed since it reminded my of those old time hotels with decor and layout. But eventually I grew into it.

The only thing I wished is that breakfast could have been included as part of the stay.“

“We had the most outstanding waitress that you could have asked for. We were with a group that came in and sat down at our table and it was constantly changing. Our meal was very fluid, and our waitress kept track of everyone coming and going and was outstanding and polite the entire time. She waited on this without standing service and always with a smile on her face our food was great and above average and always hot and was always correct. We asked to have a bloody mary happy hour in the morning and the restaurant accommodated us. Would love to come back.“

“I had gone through drive thru and the lady at drive had greeted me super nicely and had offered me if there was any dressings or salt or anything I would like and had wonderful manners her name was Sofia and as was the other lady taking my order was very helpful as well! I loved the amazing service!“

“We live by Ames but drive to Marshalltown for our Taco Bell fix. Ames location is a mess, but the Marshalltown location is always clean and friendly. We get our food in a couple minutes, not 20 like ames, and the food looks like it does in the TV ads, not like it traveled down a bumpy road for 10 mins before it was givin to us. Marshalltown Taco Bell for the win and it's not even close“

“Lots of people, mostly younger crowd, always music and dance floor is hot, nice pool tables and big acarde area with lots of fun games. Sometimes service takes awhile and maybe they could use more bartenders during peek hours but the bartenders are always working hard and are cute so it makes up for it. Good vibes in general.“

“I dined here years ago one time, & this was my 2nd visit. I am following a keto plan, & was able to have the Legend's burger with no bun, well done, with a condiment cup of dill pickles, & broccoli instead of fries. It fell within my plan & was delicious. Our waitress Hannah was excellent, & very kind. 5⭐️
My only issue was that the bathroom door lock/doorknob is broken, so hopefully they'll change the knob soon.
Overall it was a great lunch. Very pleased.“

“Hella dirty and gross always. Food portions are tiny and over priced. Food is mediocre at best.

Edit* Perkins has made a change for the better. My last review was 2 years ago. I've gone here a few times since then. Food is much better. Staff is super friendly. And they cleaned up. Great place to grab breakfast with friends.“

“One of the best places to sit down and eat in Marshalltown. Their steak is great and I LOVE the garlic mashed potatoes!
