“The Dew Drop has been feeding and entertaining hungry farmers, local residents, patrons from 10 small towns around, and even some regulars who make the drive 6-12 times a year from Omaha and other distant locations. It's not just that Keith and his wife serve great food with a determination to please, but once a visitor, always a friend. Locals welcome new visitors and conversations range from quiet to extra lively. Drinks are good, the beer is cold but beware, a row of beers may stack up in front of you you if you join a conversation because everyone tends to get a round for their table...or more once on regular needs a beer, so be careful or bring a DD. The Dew Drop Inn is Small Town USA at its very best. If you're a stranger for more than 20 minutes, it's on you. Week nights might be quieter but Friday and Saturday are busy especially as the evenings progress. EVERYONE is safe and welcome from age 1 month to 100 in McClelland, IA.“
“Dad and I were on a road trip to see the UPRR Museum in Downtown Council Bluffs. We figured that we'd have lunch near there, but it was lunch time at Neola, and after a stop at the nearly Kum & Go, I found Buck Snort via a Yelp search. And after a short drive, we arrived at this cool little restaurant in small town Downtown Neola. As it turns out, this place is part of a local chain with other locations in 6 other local spots. CONS - None PROS 1. Easy access from I-80, especially if you know how to find this place. 2. Warm and inviting interior, with nice booth/table seating, at counter ordering, and friendly local clientele. 3. Buck Snort is a largely a burger and fries joynt with a number of interesting menu twists and unique names like the Boom Boom Pow! Burger. 4. Dad's choice was the "Brunch Burger", including egg, bacon and tots. He really enjoyed it. 5. I went more conventional with a cheese burger and tots. Outstanding. It's always a good thing to hit the road again on a relatively full stomach.“
