“This is a Pub formally known as the Cellar Peanut Pub. It's still the fun, relaxing place with a great variety of beers and drinks. We went there for a football game and they had a DJ and free walking tacos as well as popcorn. There were a variety of people --some with children, some to play darts, and pool, but most were there for the football game. We watched the game and played cards. There are a variety of games you can borrow. My bloody Mary was tasty and reasonably priced. My husband is Ruthies were tasty as usual. It's a nice atmosphere and a good place to go!“

“We were staying in Newton while visiting relatives nearby and looking for a sports bar to watch my baseball team play. Our bartender was eager to find our favorite drinks but they did not have a wine selection other than a box of red which I don't drink but I came up with an alternative. Locals were friendly and engaging! Had a great time!“

“Not bad for a little hole-in-the-wall place in Baxter, Iowa. I was participating in a bike ride through the town and don't know if the food and menu were representative of their usual fare (burgers, dogs, and fries), but it fit the bill that day. There's a very nice patio just outside. The inside is small and cozy. Not bad at all.“
