“Driving back to Denver from Chicago, this spot was recommended by a gal at my hotel. Rolled over to the moose late on a Monday and found myself at the bar. Struck up some great conversations with the bar tender and a few locals. Really appreciated the friendly and divey atmosphere. I would definitely come back if I am in Des Moines again.“

“Couldn’t recommend this place enough. We had a wonderful time tonight for a work outing. Called and made a reservation a week prior. Decor, atmosphere, and vibe was phenomenal. Our waitress, Kennedy, was a joy to have—attentive, friendly, and upbeat! Food was delicious! I think that’s one of the best breaded tenderloins I have had. It was thick, juicy, flavorful, and delicious! And what a pleasant surprise to be able to play DJ Bingo while there! It was truly a great time! Will be back!“

“If you into dive bars, bar food, and great service check out Gerris. They are know for their wings so that is what I went with. One sauce option but it was good. Not too spicy, kind of like frank hot sauce with some butter mixed in. Wings were huge. Cheese balls were good. Food was fast and service was on point. One female working the entire room and she killed it. Drinks never got empty.“

“This was our first time eating here. We drove down from Nebraska today to go exploring and see the covered bridges of Madison County and found the Hitchin’ Post to eat dinner! Great atmosphere, friendly people and awesome service and food! Thanks so much Hitchin’ Post Grill! If your in the area, it’s a definite stop for great food and service! “My favorite Fast and Fresh. When the Fast and Fresh across from Bucs arena said their kitchen was closed, the gentlemen at the Merle Hay Fast and Fresh said "we'll make it". I go there all the time and I have never had a bad experience!“
“Ate breakfast here when visiting family. The service was great. The food was delicious. Our whole experience was perfect. I had my work mask with me and they asked me if I worked for Hy-Vee and I do, so I did get my discount that. Thanks. Will eat there again.“

“The food and service was very good. The person that was assigned to clean the dining area did a wonderful job, everything was perfectly clean. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because the AC didn't seem up to par but it was comfortable enough to have an enjoyable meeting.

“An employee named Christian J. Approached us, he handed us hand drawn art and told us we can keep it. We told him how talented and amazing he was, and how we needed more good people like him in the world to brighten our day. He than said something along the lines of “you never know what a person is going through that day and I try to do good things for people” which We thought was so kind and really did make us feel special. He did make our experience even better and put smile on our face. Thank you Christian!“

“Well come in un knowing and got brave and ordered the oysters on the half shell. So wonderful to get such high quality in DSM. So bruschetta was out of this word my wife had the chicken biscuit. Fantastic So I was brave again. Shrimp and grits. The seasoning and cook on the shrimp. So so good. Service was fantastic even though I had lots of questions Didn’t always know but found out very quickly. Very happy to have such a fantastic place to enjoy in town. EVERYONE should try it out!!!!“
“This is your standard downtown hotel bar / lounge, However, the service here is polite, fast, and attentive - while the food is honestly amazing. Get the burger and fries, hands down the best burger I've had in years and the fries were even better. I believe they cook the fries in animal fat which adds a crispiness like no other. Decent selection of beers, wines and a full bar with a clean and spacious interior round this place out. In my 20 years of business travel I have never experienced a Hotel Lounge like this“

“Wow! That's the first word that comes to mind. For a Friday night, at the dinner rush, it was busy, but not so bad that the wait for a table was too, too long, though we ended up 'cutting the line' by sitting at the bar instead of waiting for a table. There were a few different games on, but my vibe was with the Playlist! I could sing along with nearly every song. The cocktails are fire 🔥🔥 The food is *chef's kiss*. We did encounter a mistake in our order, but they corrected it immediately, with profuse apologies that we didn't need because things happen sometimes. I will DEFINITELY be coming back!“
