Appeared to be very clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was hot/fresh. We didn’t catch the name of the person who helped us this evening (11/17/2019 5:30PM), but he was very courteous and professional! Thank you for the excellent service!
Shorted us a 4 piece nuggets and the flies are out of control.
For lack of a better option.

McDonald's in Onawa is a convenient option for a quick meal while traveling, especially for families. The restaurant is clean and the staff are generally friendly and quick with orders. They ensure the food is hot and fresh, although there have been moments when employees were inattentive, such as leaving a drink at the counter. Most staff are helpful and remember customers' usual orders. There have been past concerns about employees using profanities, but this seems to have been addressed. Some customers find the touch screen ordering system unpopular, and while managers may insist on using it, cashiers are usually willing to take manual orders if needed. This location is often busy, serving many I-29 travelers, and it remains consistent with McDonald's quality standards. However, some customers have noted that portion sizes are getting smaller, flavors are lacking, and prices are increasing. Despite these issues, the new $5 deal is appreciated, especially for feeding hungry kids. Overall, the restaurant offers a decent dining experience, though some customers prefer more attentive service.
