Joni and her team catered the food for a a conference that I was a part of. The food was amazing, and the staff members were helpful and professional. They did a fantastic job. I highly recommend!

As we talked for a long time about the meal we wanted on the wedding day, we knew for sure that we didn’t want to be traditional. However, we also didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg either. When we found Great Caterers of Iowa, we saw they had breakfast and a very reasonable price per plate. Working with Joni and Lori was amazing and so easy! They allowed me to make up my own menu for wedding day that gave us everything we hoped for on our wedding day! Breakfast was a hit and tasted so good! They brought our vision for breakfast foods to life and again, for the best price! They were perfect choice and they have so many other food packages available to choose from!

As a wedding planner, I know how important catering is to the guest experience—and working with these guys is always a guaranteed win. Their team is professional, organized, and truly understands the flow of a wedding day. From setup to service, everything is executed with precision and care, which makes my job so much easier and ensures a seamless experience for the couple and their guests.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Whether it’s a plated dinner or a buffet-style service, the presentation is beautiful and the flavors are consistently rave-worthy. I’ve had guests and couples tell me it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had—and I’d have to agree!

On the day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious and we had so many guests comment on how much they enjoyed the meal. The meats were especially well-cooked and flavorful, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation and execution.

The team was also fantastic to work with when it came with logistics and dietary accommodations. They made sure guest with restrictions had the right meal. And their serving staff was exceptional, so friendly, efficient, and professional. They helped everything run smoothly and created such a great atmosphere for guests.

These guys are truly amazing! They really listen to you and make compromises and get you what you want while also making sure the food is still top tier. I had SO MANY guest compliments, and we were able to take leftovers home with us after the wedding (now we have lunch for a year, lol) they made sure everything was perfect, the chef checked on us multiple times during our wedding to make sure everything was good. He even cut the cake for us. If we ever have another big event, its great caterers all the way!

I had Great Caterers of Iowa cater my wedding and felt very compelled to give a review when almost every single guest talked about how amazing our wedding food was. Even my brother who has always been competitive with me said “you just had to out do me on wedding food”. They were extremely professional and took care of what could’ve been the biggest stressor for me. Would recommend over and over again.

They only provided me with half of the food I ordered. I didn’t have enough food for my wedding party. When asked if they could discount for their lack of responsibility, they took no responsibility and didn’t care to discount us at all. Will not be using again.

We had the pleasure of working with Great Caterers of Iowa back in January for a wedding we coordinated. We were not shocked to learn they were a preferred vendor at the venue we utilized. They came right in and got straight to work and served the food hot and on time. Bonus it was delicious! We highly recommend them for weddings!

We used Great Caterers for an end of year holiday corporate event and they were amazing! The food was fabulous, everything from appetizers, dinner, and dessert was perfect and our guests were raving about it. Each dish was a hit, and we loved being able to enjoy leftovers for days after the wedding. My mom even remarked, “All this food tastes like something your grandma would make,” and there’s no higher compliment than that!
