“Nice place for a quick bite to eat. Had the 2 pc. Cod dinner. The fish was great, and was served with a large portion of hashbrowns and some coleslaw. Also had them add cheese and onion to the hashbrowns. The food was served quickly, was nice and hot, and very good. The coleslaw was creamy, and very good. We were happy we stopped by!”

I have started coming here more often for Textile brews, rather than their tasting room in Dyersville. The bartenders are MUCH more helpful and friendly. I tend to spend more when there's a variety to taste and I feel so welcomed!!!!”

“Heard about this place on the radio. I think it’s criminal I haven’t been here before. The atmosphere is like a local diner mixed with a pub and stocked with the coolest people. Everyone was really nice and the service was some of the best I’ve ever had. For the food it is important to note they partner with local farmers and let me tell you, you can tell. The beef is definitely top quality. First I started with my favorite drink and got a White Russian. Did not disappoint very well balanced. I had to try two of their burgers and even though I’m in pain from eating too much it was worth it! I tried their Coalition Burger and don’t forget the peanut butter. The egg and bacon were cooked very well. I asked for a fried egg and the cook didn’t kill it which was a breath of fresh air. I got it on the Texas toast but it does come on a brioche bun normally. I also got the potato salad which was a gamble since I don’t normally like potato salad outside of Moms’ but again exceeded my expectations. For the second burger I got the squealing gangster. The aioli sent it over the top! The combination of the aioli, beef, and Canadian bacon was delicious to say the least. I may live 30 min away but I tell you what I bringing my friends here! Have so much more I NEED to try! Do yourself a favor and stop in!!!!”

“We stopped here on our way home after a very long and stressful day trip because 2 other places were packed and my hangry shark 11 year old needed food terribly. There were 5 of us. The food was delicious, the service from the woman who I assume owns the restaurant was so friendly, and it looked very clean. Ordered my son sweet and sour chicken no veggies, the plate was piled high of chicken and he ate more than half of it (my hangry shark), my daughters got beef fried rice (that looked so flavorful and delicious!) and the fried shrimp with a side of rice, and my husband and I each got a dinner combo. The egg rolls were the best egg rolls I think I’ve ever had. And I really appreciated there was something on the menu that I could sample my favorites because the dinner combo comes with lo mein, fried rice, egg roll, crab Rangoon, and an entree, mine was beef and broccoli, it was SO good.”

I know I haven't been here all too often but a lot has happened since my last post. Me and my wife god divorced and it was all about that god damn sandwich. You see, for the last 4 years by wife had been forcing me to be a vegan. For 4 years I wasn't allowed to eat any meat but when I got that first philly I just about had it. My cravings for meat and cheese were so out of control I just had to indulge myself in another Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. Both my first and second sandwich runs were a success but on my third venture to subway, my wife's boss had also been there and saw me eat my philly. About 10 minutes later I got a call from my wife, she was screaming and yelling. calling me a monster and asking how I could betray animal lives the way I had, she then told me that she had secretly been having an affair with none other than her boss, and that her boss had been waiting for me to slip up so that way she could divorce me. I am now homeless, and I live on the corner of the road by the subway and every day I go out and beg for money, and when I can, I buy another philly cheesesteak. I just cant control myself anymore and If I don't fix my life fast I may end up in a dead end, or 6 feet under.”

“What a wonderful throwback restaurant. It takes you back to supper clubs of the 50's and 60's. Great salad bar with lots of variety. They even had home-made cinnamon rolls and brownies. Our server (Laura-Laurie) was fantastic. My wife and I had the prime rib (excellent!). My sister had the filet mignon and her husband had the ribs. We were all very pleased with the entire experience!”

“We were here around 630 pm on 11/16/23. Servers were attentive to keep pizza, chicken and other fixings full on buffet. Main area was pretty busy for a Thursday night but overflow seating wasn't open.Pizza, chicken and salad looked good for the most part. Corn and green beans might as well not been available. They were discolored and looked unappetizing, but I doubt people eat there for these items. Servers fixed specific requests for pizzas reasonably fast but no followup with customers on asking customers how the food is, etc. Biscuits were made fresh but just margarine for spread, no jelly or anything else. I'm sure that's to keep expenses down.Senior discount from regular price is $0.56?! Check it out on website. I think that could be better. I give four stars because OVERALL, I'd go back for the food but if you're sensitive about colder room temp, high quality service, stringent cleanliness, etc you may not find it here.”
